The host batters could score just 48 runs. They bowled out in the penultimate ball of the 15th over. Independence Day Gold Cup: Quetta Region qualify for semifinals
Nisar AhmedQuetta (August 11, 2023: Quetta Region moved into the semifinal of the All Pakistan Independence Day Cricket Gold Cup after beating Quetta White by 7 wickets at Bughti Cricket Stadium here on Friday.In the first quarter final, Quetta Region outclassed Quetta White by 7 wickets. Quetta Region achieved the target of 86 runs for the loss of three wickets in the 16th over. Captain Abdul Wahid Bengalzi scored 31 runs, Bismillah Khan scored 25 runs and Ikramullah remained not out with 19 runs.Batting first, White's team could only score 85 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Eight players of Quetta White could not enter double figures. Zainullah took five wickets while Gohar Faiz took three wickets.

Quetta (Lalo Khan): Quetta Region, Quetta Chaltan, Quetta Green, Saeed Ajmal Cricket Academy (SACA) Faisalabad, Dera Murad Jamali Region, Naseerabad Region, Abbottabad Region, and Malik Cricket Academy Peshawar registered victories on the third day of the All Pakistan Independence Day Cricket Gold Cup after beating their respective opponents at different cricket arenas.The tournament is being played under the auspices of the Quetta District Cricket Association (QDCA) and with the support of the Sports Department of the Government of Balochistan. Eight matches were played in Kent Quetta Region, Quetta Chaltan, Quetta Green, Saeed Ajmal Cricket Academy Faisalabad, Dera Murad Jamali Region, Naseerabad Region, Abbottabad Region and Malik Cricket Academy Peshawar defeated their rival teams.In the first match, at Fatima Jinnah Cricket Ground, Quetta Chaltan overcame Larkana Region by 39 runs. Chasing 183 runs, the Larkana team was restricted to 144 runs in 20 overs. Syed Jahangir Shah of Quetta Chaltan played a brilliant innings of 82 runs. While Syed Fariddin scored 49 runs and got two wickets, while in the second match, Quetta Region defeated Rawalpindi Region by six wickets, Quetta Region achieved the target of 110 runs at the loss of four wickets in the 17th over. Played an innings of 51 runs.In the first match, at Bolan Cricket Ground, Quetta Kent, Quetta Green defeated Quetta White by 31 runs. Chasing 165 runs, Quetta White's team scored 133 runs in 20 overs. Mudassar Irshad of Quetta Green scored 58 runs in the second match. Sports Bulletin ReportKARACHI: The drafting of the Khatri Premier League season 2 organized by the Muslim Khatri community has been completed last night in a very spectacular and colorful ceremony at Noorani Eid Gah XI New Karachi. Senior and young players of the Muslim Khatri community participated in the ceremony. International and first-class players will also be seen in action. After the great success of Khatri Premier League Season 1, Khatri Premier League Season 2 will start from August 19, like last year, with the opening match of SJAS Media XI and Pakistan Showbiz XI. While the league matches of the event will be played from August 20 to September 17, 2023 in the floodlights of Asghar Ali Shah Stadium. On the occasion of drafting, MQM Pakistan leader Farooq Sattar and world-renowned Naat Khawan Alhaj Mahmood Al Hasan Ashrafi were the special guests. Mahmood Al Hasan Ashrafi started the ceremony by reciting the Holy Quran and Naat Sharif and Qaseida Burda Sharif in his unique style. Kashmir Kings needed merely 3 runs to reach their target of 149 runs in the last over of the match, as they had five wickets in their hands too. The winning skipper Dolat Zardan handed the white ball to Ilyas Khan for the crucial last over of the match. Ilyas first three balls without giving a single run, however, in the next three balls KK lost their three wickets and threw the win from their hands. Sports Bulletin Report RAWALPINDI: Islamabad Hawks (IH) beat Punjab Lions (PL) by 6 wickets in the 3rd game of the ongoing 2nd Markhor Ramadan Cup 2023 here at Ayub Park National Stadium on Saturday night, as the winners reached on target of 110 runs in the 15.5 overs. IH’s captain Arsal Sheikh played the unbeaten 44 runs, as he lasted 38 balls. Imran Ali was another major contributor with 36 runs on 27 balls while Zain Farooq scored 11 runs on 13 balls. Kazim Shah (2 for 20), Ubaid Shah (1 for 19) and Shahrukh Ali Chun (1 for 19) were wicket-takers for the Punjab Lions. Earlier, the skipper of Islamabad Hawks Arsal Shafik won the toss and decided to put the opposition into bat first. Yasir Khan and Husnain Jamal opened the Punjab Lions’ innings, as both could not produce impressive performances.
