National Junior: Mohammad Ahmad stuns Mohammad Hashir 2-0 in final
Lahore (PR): Mohammad Ahmad Gujjar from Punjab and Ammarah Ishtiaq from Army clinched the U-19 Singles titles of the National Junior Badminton Championship 2024 that concluded here at Nishtar Park on Friday.In U-17 category Sarwat Fatima Army and Hammadullah of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa won the singles title. In U-15 singles Abdul Haseeb of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa won the championships. Tayyab Shafiq & Kanzul Eman of Punjab won the women's doubles U-19 Championships and Mohammad Zaid and Najam Us Saqib of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa took the men's doubles U-19 title.Mohammad Khizer Afzal Chaudhry Director General Sports and Youth Affair Punjab was the chief guest of the final ceremony. Larosh from Pakistan WAPDA was pairing with Raja Zulqarnain Haider of Pakistan Army in doubles’ final.In the men’s singles final, Mohammad Ali Larosh outclassed Irfan Saeed in straight games 2-0 without any resistance. Larosh won the first game after conceding 13 points, as the final score-line was 21-13, 21-14. Chairman POF Board National Badminton Championships start in Wah Cantt
Sports Bulletin ReportTaxila: The Chairman Pakistan Ordinance Factories (POF) Board National Ranking Badminton Championships started on Wednesday here at POF Sports Complex in Wah Cantt, as Shafiq Ahmed DICR graced the opening ceremony as chief guest and Member POF Board along with Col. Ghulam Rubani Deputy Director Sports POF, Qaisar Bhatti Secretary Sports POF Senior Vice President PBF Tayyab Sohail and Raja Azhar Secretary General PBF were present at the occasion. After the recitation of Holy Quran the chief guest introduced the players and officials of the championships by SVP and Secretary General Pakistan Badminton Federation (PBF) Raja Azhar. Later on Shafiq Ahmed inaugurate the event by hitting the shuttlecock.
