PVF disburses Cash Award among U18 players on achievements
Sports Bulletin ReportLAHORE: Pakistan Volleyball Federation (PVF) has disbursed the cash awards among the Under-18 players in a ceremony here at AFOHS Club, Falcon Complex, Gulberg 3, as the national junior players produced sparking performances in the international fixtures. Pakistan had won the bronze medal in the 15th Asian Men’s U18 Volleyball Championship and the gold medal at the CAVA U18 Volleyball Championship.Justice (R) Safder Saleem Shahid, Chairman of the Medical Tribunal Islamabad, graced the ceremony as the chief guest, accompanied by Manzoor Usmani, CEO of Sygnis Pharma, Lahore, who was also a prominent figure at the ceremony. Each player and official associated with the U18 team was awarded a cash prize of Rs. 100,000 as a token of appreciation for their hard work and dedication. Shields were also given to every member of the team and the officials.Justice (R) Safder Saleem Shahid said: “I appreciate the all members of team of officials for their dedication, perseverance, and teamwork, which led them to clinch the medals in the international events. Chairman PVF, Ch. Mohammad Yaqoob will be the chief guest in the ceremony.

First Volleyball League to stage in September/October 2024
PVF disburses cash awards among Junior, and Senior players for winning gold, and silver medalsAbdul Jabbar FaisalISLAMABAD: Chairman, Pakistan Volleyball Federation (PVF), Chaudhry Mohammad Yaqoob revealed on Friday that Islamabad would host the first Volleyball League in September/October this year 2024, as PVF needs government support to make the event historical.While addressing a prize distribution ceremony at a local hotel, Mohammad Yaqoob said: “The international volleyball leagues’ season starts at the end of October all over the world, and we want to stage our league before commencing international league events. PVF does not want to create any hurdle for Pakistani spikers, who are part of the international leagues, as we can not pay big sums to national athletes, as compared to leagues’ earning “he added.“National volleyball team is making Pakistan famous in the world. The federation has prepared a plan for coaches including junior and senior players for the whole year, but we have a limited budget, and we need financial support for national team participation in international events for better results. I hope that the federal government will play its role in this regard. The players were awarded with cash prizes for winning the gold, and silver medals.” Federal Secretary Nadeem Irshad Kayani said: “The ministry is taking concrete steps for the development of sports in the country, we will soon organize a conference on sports economy so that sponsors can move ahead to support sports. Our target is the Olympics 2028 and we want to prepare a targeted plan for talented athletes and focus on them if the budget is allotted. Our efforts are to convert the mini stadiums into academies and promote the sports culture. The ministry will play a positive role for the successful organization of the volleyball league in the country to provide all possible support. In the end, the chief guest Secretary for the Ministry of Inter-provincial Coordination (IPC)Nadeem Irshad Kayani disbursed the cash awards among Junior, and Senior players for winning gold, and silver medals respectively in the Central Asian Volleyball (CAV) Under-18 Volleyball Championship, and Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) Challenge Cup 2024. Volleyball News: Federation disburses cash awards to national players

Besides hosts Pakistan Iran, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan had participated in the 5-national international volleyball fixture.Chairman, PVF Choudhary Mohammad Yaqoob, and Senior Vice President Engro Syed Zaheer Mehdi distributed the cash prizes in a ceremony at a local hotel on Tuesday. Other officials of PVF and national foreign coach Issanaye Ramires were also present on this occasion. Mubashir Raza, Usman Faryad Ali, Haider Farooq, Abdullah, Fahad Raza, Bilal Khan, Kashif Naveed, Murad Jehan, Abbas Khan, Hamid Yazman, Nasir Ali (players, Khalid Waqar (manager), Saeed Ahmed Khan (coach), Ahsan Iqbal (coach), and Ismaeel Khan (Video Analyst) pocketed the cash awards.Chairman, PVF Choudhary Mohammad Yaqoob said on this occasion that the federation would provide maximum facilities to national players to excel at the international level. “We have hired the services of an international coach from Brazil, Issanaye Ramires, I hope our team will produce a sparkling performance in the upcoming international fixtures. We are at 7th rung at the Asian level and we need to get a place in the top four teams to set a place in top international competitions, “he added.While unfolding the details of the international event, the former policeman said that Pakistan would take part in the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) Challenge Cup, which would be held from July 8 to 15, this year 2023 in Taiwan. “We will send our Under-16 team to Uzbekistan to show their game skill in the inaugural Asian Men’s Under-16 Volleyball Championship to be played from July 22 to 29. The senior team will visit Iran for Asian Volleyball Championship 2023 from August 17 to 25, “he asserted.Responding to a question Mohammad Yaqoob said that PVF would stage a volleyball league at the end of this year 2023. “Two university volleyball teams from the United States of America (USA) will visit Pakistan to play bilateral series against men’s and women’s teams. Our lads are playing in different countries and we will make our league like Pakistan Super League (PSL), “he concluded.National coach Issanaye Ramires said:“I am happy to join the Pakistan team as coach and we will turn the players into a family and make joint efforts to produce remarkable results in the international events. Sir Syed University win HEC Inter-University Volleyball Championship
Sports Bulletin Report KARACHI: Sir Syed University (SSU) have won the HEC Inter-University Volleyball Championship after beating Aga Khan University (AKU) in the final 3-1 with the score-line of 25-21, 25-23, 26-28 and 25-20. In the final, Sir Syed University won 3-1, the set score of their victory was 25-21, 25-23, 26-28, and 25-20. Earlier, IBA defeated Indus University 25-18 and 25-17 in the third position play-off. Vice President of Sindh Volleyball Association Pervez Ahmad Khan was the chief guest of the championship final organized by Sir Syed University and in collaboration with Higher Education Commission at NED University Gymnasium. University Registrar Commodore (Rtd) Syed Sarfraz Ali, Sindh Volleyball Association Secretary Shahid Masood, Sir Syed University Director Sports International Mubasher Mukhtar, Mohsin Ali Khan, Javed Iqbal, Numanuddin and others were also present. Organizing Secretary and Director Sports Mubasher Mukhtar presented the report of the event. And said that 9 teams have participated in this volleyball event of Zone M for the first time, which is a record, this is a welcome initiative of HEC, if their support continues, the game of volleyball will also get more promotion.

Abdul Wali Khan University win Mardan Girls Volleyball Championship
Peshawar (Sports Report) Department of Sports Sciences Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan has won the first Mardan Girls Volleyball Championship by defeating Government Girls Degree College Sheikh Maltoon Town in the final. As many as 16 teams of girls colleges and schools from five tehsils of Mardan participated in the championship which was jointly organized by the Regional Sports Office and the district administration. Assistant Commissioner Saman Abbas inaugurated the championship. In the closing ceremony, Member Provincial Assembly Zahir Shah distributed prizes among the players. Additional Deputy Commissioner Naik Mohammad, Regional Sports Officer Jamshed Baloch, Chairman Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Imtiaz Ayub, Dr. Farooq Hussain, Chairman, Sports Department, Salman, Administrator, Mardan Sports Complex, Madam Gulnar and Ayesha Tahir, Assistant Commissioner were also present on the occasion. Earlier in the first semi-final, Department of Sports Sciences Abdul Wali Khan University defeated Government Girls Degree College Mardan while in the second semi-final Girls Degree College Sheikh Maltoon defeated Sports Club and qualified for the final. MPA Zahir Shah Toro and ADC Naik Mohammad paid tributes to the Regional Sports Office Mardan for organizing the championship and assured all possible cooperation in organizing the competitions.

Gandaw Mohammad Shah Club win volleyball final
Ayaz Raza Afridi PESHAWAR (December 27, 2021):-The 1st Mir Awais Mohmand Open Volleyball Tournament concluded on Monday with the victory of Gandaw Mohammad Shah Club, who defeated Yakka Ghund Club in the final at Captain Rohullah Shaheed Sports Stadium in Ghalanai, Mohmand District. As many as 20 teams from different cities of Pakhtunkhwa participated in the 4-day volleyball tournament. In the final match, Gandaw Muhammad Shah Club defeated Yakka Ghund Club after a tough contest. Shehzad Nabi, a representative of Al-Hamid Mineral Company, distributed cash prizes and trophies. During the tournament, Mumtaz Mama, a popular volleyball commentator from Nowshera, amused the volleyball lovers with his commentary. In the end, Shehzad Nabi, Sports Representative of Mir Awais Mohmand, Managing Director of Alhamid Mineral Company, gave Rs. 50,000 in cash and cup to the winner team.
