Dr. Essa Lab Sindh Ranking Tennis 2025 to start on May 31
Hyderabad(SBR):Hyderabad Tennis Association under the auspices of Sindh Tennis Association will organize 12th Dr. Essa Lab Sindh Ranking tennis Championship from 31st May to 4th June at the hard courts of Hyderabad Gymkhana,Dr. Essa Laboratory & Diagnostic Center is the Sponsor of this prestigious annual championship.Championship will consist of Men’s Singles. Hadi, Bismal win titles at DHA Lahore Punjab Tennis Championship
LAHORE(PR): Rising star Hadi Hussain captured the spotlight by clinching the Men’s Singles title at the prestigious DHA Lahore Punjab Juniors and Seniors Tennis Championship 2025, held at the state-of-the-art DHA Sports Complex, Sector 5, DHA Lahore.In a commanding performance, Hadi defeated Musa Haroon 6-1, 6-2 in the final to claim top honours in the premier men’s category.In the Men’s Doubles final, the duo of Musa Haroon and Talha Saleem emerged victorious after a thrilling contest, edging past Ahsan Javeed and Taha Saleem 9-8 in a closely fought match. The Seniors Doubles 60+ title was secured by seasoned campaigner Rashid Malik, who teamed up with Brig. Ghazanfar to defeat Saleem Khan and Dr. Mushtaq Haroon 8-2 in a dominant display.The junior categories saw an impressive array of talent on display. In the Boys U-18 final, Asad Zaman showcased his class by beating Ohad-e-Mustafa 6-2. The Girls U-18 and U-14 titles were both claimed by the talented Bismal Zia, who continued her remarkable run by defeating Romisa Malik 6-1 in the U-18 final and Khadija Khalil 6-4 in the U-14 final.In the Boys U-14 final, Mohammad Ayan secured a hard-fought 7-5 victory over Ohad-e-Mustafa. However, Ayan was later edged out in the Boys U-12 final, where Muhammad Muaz triumphed with a 7-5 scoreline. In the Girls U-12 category, Aiman Rehan overcame Khadija Khalil 6-4 to lift the title, while in the Boys/Girls U-10 final, Daniyal Abdullah displayed exceptional skill to defeat Mustafa Zia 6-0.The concluding ceremony was graced by PLTA Senior Vice President and tournament organiser Rashid Malik, who attended as the chief guest and distributed prizes among the winners. He was joined by Brig. Mir Mohammad Siddique SI(M), Director Sports DHA Lahore; Lt. Col. Mohammad Shahbaz (Tamgha-e-Imtiaz), Additional Director Sports DHA Lahore; Naseem Ahmed; Col. DHA Lahore Tennis Championship: Hadi, Musa reach men’s singles final
LAHORE: The DHA Lahore Punjab Juniors/Seniors Tennis Championship 2025 witnessed an action-packed day as the finalists across multiple categories were confirmed ahead of Tuesday’s prize distribution ceremony. In the men’s singles semifinals, Hadi Hussain booked his place in the final after Taha Saleem was forced to retire at 4-1 due to injury. He will face the formidable Musa Haroon, who battled past Ashar Khan in a thrilling 8-6 encounter. In the quarterfinal stage, Hadi had earlier edged out Mohid Saddan 6-4, while Taha overpowered Sherhan Salim 6-2, and Ashar Khan got the better of Ahmad Bin Amir with a convincing 6-2 win. In the men’s doubles semifinal, the duo of Ahsan Javeed and Taha Saleem emerged victorious over Haroon Zahid and Sherhan Salim, clinching a tight 6-4 win. The seniors 45+ doubles semifinal saw Hadi Hussain pairing up with Ashar Khan to defeat Saleem Khan and Ch Ameer Siddiqui 8-3, while Waheed Ahmad and Kamran Qureshi overcame Imran Tahir and Fayyaz Akram 8-1. In the seniors 60+ doubles quarterfinal, tournament director Rashid Malik partnered with Brig Ghazanfar to outplay Kamran Qureshi and Dr Arif 8-2 in a dominant performance.  Ohad-e-Mustafa continued his impressive run, storming into the boys’ U-18 final with a commanding 6-0 win over Mohammad Ayan (DHA). He also reached the boys’ U-14 final by beating Aaliyan Ali 6-1, where he will meet Mohammad Ayan who edged past Mohammad Muaz in a tense 7-6 tiebreak. In the girls’ U-14 quarterfinals, Khadija Khalil brushed aside Shahreen Umer 6-0, while Esha Rabi defeated Wajeeha Fatima 6-2.  The boys’ u-12 semifinals saw Mohammad Muaz overpower Mohammad Ehsan Bari 6-0, with Mohammad Ayan dispatching Mustafa Uzair Rana 6-1. In the girls’ U-12 semifinals, Khadija Khalil cruised past Erina Zaighum 6-0 and Aimen Rehan overcame Shahnoor Umer 6-1. In the boys/girls U-10 semifinals, Dainyal Abdullah beat Mohammad Ehsan Bari 6-2 and Mustafa Zia eased past Dainyal Afzal Malik 6-1. The championship will culminate with a grand prize distribution ceremony scheduled for Tuesday (May 13, 2025) at 5 pm at DHA Sports Complex, Sector G, Phase 5, Lahore. (PR)

Gun & Country Club Open Tennis Championships: Rohan Noori wins Double Crowns
Sports Bulletin ReportIslamabad:The Gun and Country Club Open Tennis Championships came to a thrilling conclusion, with Rohan Noori emerging as the champion in both the Men's Singles and Boys' Singles events.In the Men's Singles final, Rohan Noori defeated Adil Farooq from Islamabad Police in an exciting match, securing the title with a score of 8-5.Noori's double triumph was sealed when he won the Boys' Singles final, beating Mahd Mehmood with a score of 8-4.In the Ladies' Singles event, Shiza Sajjid took the title by defeating her younger sister, Lala Rukh, in a thrilling final with a score of 8-6.The three-day tournament featured over sixty players competing in various events. The finals were attended by distinguished guests, including Mr. Nadeem Irshad Kiyani, Secretary IPC, who distributed prizes and certificates among the winners and runners-up.Other notable attendees included Tariq Mehmood Murtaza, Chairman ITA; Col Tufail Iqbal Din Zia, Secretary PTF; Tufail Cheema, Secretary ITA; and Imran Afraz Khan, Secretary Gun Club. Gul & Country Club Open Championships: Finals on December 31
Islamabad (PR): The semifinals of the Gul& Country Club Open Tennis Championships were held at the Gun Club courts in Islamabad, paving the way for a thrilling final on December 31, 2024.In the men's singles event, Roman Noori and Adil Farooq secured their spots in the final. Noori defeated Khan Jabbran with a convincing 8-4 win, while Farooq dominated Imtiaz Ahmad 8-1.In the ladies' singles, Shiza Sajjid and Lala Rukh emerged victorious, advancing to the final. Sajjid displayed exceptional skill, defeating Nawal Imtiaz 6-0. Lala Rukh edged past her younger sister, Mah Rukh, with a 6-4 win.The Boys U-18 event also saw intense competition, with Mahd Mehmood and Rohan Noori progressing to the final. Gun & Country Club Open Tennis Championship starts in Capital City Islamabad

LAHORE (SBR) Pakistan’s top-ranked ITF senior tennis player, Rashid Malik, continued to demonstrate his exceptional prowess on the court, securing a commanding 6-0, 6-1 victory over Husnain Mirza in the seniors 60+ singles quarterfinals of the RLK Group ITF Masters Championship 2024. Organised by the Punjab Lawn Tennis Association (PLTA), the prestigious tournament is underway at the Sports Board Punjab Tennis Academy, Nishtar Park, Lahore, showcasing remarkable talent from across the nation and beyond. Besides Malik, Nauman Aleem also secured a place in the seniors 60+ singles semifinals, with a hard-fought 7-5, 7-6 victory against Tahir Butt. In the seniors 65+ singles quarterfinals, former Davis Cupper Inam ul Haq displayed his prowess, defeating Kh Abdul Muqeet 6-2, 6-2. M Babar followed with an impressive 6-0, 6-1 win over Raashed Zaheer. In the seniors 35+ singles quarterfinals, Inam Gul delivered a dominant performance, overpowering Mubeen Akram with a flawless 6-0, 6-0 victory. Kamran Steel Punjab Junior Tennis Championship starts in Lahore
