HBL PSL today confirmed that the 12th edition of the tournament will be held from 18 March to 2 May 2027, with all eight franchises returning to compete for the coveted title.The window was determined following extensive consultation with all key stakeholders after the PSL Governing Council meeting held in London on 1 September 2026, attended by owners and representatives of all eight HBL PSL franchises.HBL PSL 12 will build on a landmark 2026 season that broke new ground — eight teams competed for the first time, a first-ever player auction replaced the draft system and the Final at Gaddafi Stadium drew a record crowd of 32,461. Peshawar Zalmi were crowned champions after beating debutants Hyderabad Kingsmen by five wickets on 3 May 2026, ending a nine-year wait for the title.With the window now confirmed, a series of marquee milestones will follow including Direct Signings, Retention announcements, the Trade window and the Player Auction, each one a moment for fans to look forward to as the competition takes shape. Lahore (PR): The player exchange MoU between Lahore Qalandars and Zimbabwe Cricket continues to deliver results in 2026.Signed in 2023, the program initially saw eight Zimbabwean players train at the Qalandars High Performance Centre for four months. Lahore Qalandars also sent five fast bowlers to Zimbabwe for domestic cricket exposure.A prime success story is Salman Mirza. After performing strongly in Zimbabwe in both white-ball and red-ball cricket, he was picked by Lahore Qalandars for PSL 10 and played a key role in the franchise’s title-winning campaign. His form earned him a call-up to the Pakistan national team.Building on this success, eight more Zimbabwean players have now arrived at the Smart Qalandars High Performance Centre in Capital Smart City, Islamabad for a 5-week intensive training camp. They will benefit from elite facilities, complete nutrition plans, and a specialized fitness and skills program.Earlier this year, two Zimbabwe national team players also joined Lahore Qalandars for training during PSL 2026.This ongoing exchange continues to strengthen cricket in both nations and uncover new talent.

Lahore (PCB Report)::Title-winning side Peshawar Zalmi’s drought-breaking skipper Babar Azam has also been announced as the captain of the HBL Pakistan Super League 11 Team of the Tournament for his clinical record with the bat and as a leader in the recently concluded edition. Team of HBL PSL 11 consists of three players each from Peshawar Zalmi, Hyderabad Kingsmen, two each from Lahore Qalandars, Islamabad United and one each from Multan Sultans and Quetta Gladiators. The team was selected by a five-member committee from the esteemed commentary team. The jury also selected an Emerging Team of the Tournament as well comprising of young Pakistan players. The HBL PSL 11 saw a total of 44 matches, which were played from 26 March to 3 May in Lahore and Karachi. Babar Azam – who has won his third HBL PSL title as a player and first as captain – scored 588 runs in the tournament opening the batting and won Hanif Muhammad cap for being the leading run scorer. He also bagged the record of joint-most runs in a single HBL PSL season matching Fakhar Zaman’s heroics in 2022.Zalmi skipper also registered two centuries in the tournament against Quetta Gladiators and Islamabad United in a space of four games. Two other Peshawar Zalmi players have also made it to the team and they are Kusal Mendis and the Fazal Mehmood cap winner Suyfan Moqim. Mendis collected 550 runs on the back of four fifties and one century and is also the designated wicketkeeper-batter of the team with eight dismissals to his name as well. His century came against Karachi Kings on 9 April at the National Bank Stadium. Sufyan picked up 22 scalps with his menacing left-arm wrist-spin at a miserly average of 14.40 and economy of 7.20. He was also declared player of the tournament and best bowler as well for his heroics throughout. Three players in the HBL PSL 11 Team of the Tournament feature from the runners-up Hyderabad Kingsmen. Usman Khan, who was fourth on the run charts with 389 runs with the help of a century and three half-centuries is slotted in at no.5 in the team. Left-arm spinner Hassan Khan and Emerging player of the tournament Hunain Shah are the other two from Kingsmen contingent to make it to the team. Apart from his acrobatic and electric fielding, Hassan picked up six wickets and scored 139 valuable runs at a strike rate of 195 lower down the order. Hunain collected 17 wickets in the tournament playing 10 matches and stands as the joint-third leading wicket-taker despite missing a few games at the start. He turned out to be Kingsmen’s hero towards the business end of the tournament. Two players – Fakhar Zaman and Shaheen Shah Afridi – from Lahore Qalandars also feature in the team for their heroics in the tournament. Fakhar, who is the leading run-scorer in the tournament’s history, racked up 401 runs off eight matches to finish third in the season, while Shaheen finished the season 16 wickets off 10 matches at an average of 18.18 and 7.86 economy rate. Shan Masood – the only player from Multan Sultans – is penciled in at no.4 in the team of the tournament which reflects his stellar performance with the bat accumulating 367 runs at average of 45.87 and a strike rate of 158.18. Islamabad United’s captain Shadab Khan and the leading spinner in tournament’s history also makes the HBL PSL 11 team due to his all-round performances, which earned him best all-rounder of the tournament award. Lahore (Mohammad Ali): Aaron Hardie's all-round brilliance powered Peshawar Zalmi to a five-wicket victory over Hyderabad Kingsmen in the final of HBL Pakistan Super League 11 at the Gaddafi Stadium here on Sunday night, lifting captain Babar Azam's side to their second HBL PSL title after 2017.The final was played in front of a packed Gaddafi Stadium as the crowd was recorded at 32,461 – the largest ever crowd in HBL PSL history.Player of the final Hardie returned the second-best bowling figures across the 11 HBL PSL final - four for 27 to skittle the Kingsmen for 129 in 18 overs and then anchored the chase with an unbeaten 56 from 39 balls after walking in to bat in first over at 7-2, hitting nine fours, as Peshawar Zalmi reached the target with 28 balls to spare.After Babar opted to bowl, Maaz Sadaqat (11, 6b, 1x4, 1x6) was caught in the second over by Abdul Samad off Mohammad Basit to leave Hyderabad 16 for one.Hyderabad Kingsmen captain Marnus Labuschagne then struck three fours and a six in his 12-ball 20 before edging behind to Mohammad Haris off Hardie at as the Kingsmen flew to 69 for two in the powerplay.The middle order then folded around Saim Ayub, who was the lone batter to cross the 20-run mark for his team. Lahore (Sports News): Fast bowler Hunain Shah defended six runs in the 20th over against Islamabad United as Hyderabad Kingsmen bagged a thrilling two-run win in defence of their total of 186-5 in the second Eliminator of the HBL Pakistan Super League 11 here at the Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore on Friday night.Hyderabad Kingsmen, who have now won seven out of their last eight matches, will face Peshawar Zalmi in the final of the tournament on Sunday.The second Eliminator saw many ebbs and flows before being settled by a mere two runs courtesy Hunain’s brilliance as he backed his Eliminator 1 figures of 2-31 with 2-37 against United and currently on a tally of 16 wickets – joint-third leading wicket-taker in the tournament so far.Hunain was up against the raging duo of Faheem Ashraf (19, 11b, 2x6s) and Chris Green (21 not out, 9b, 3x4s, 1x6) with only six runs to defend after Mohammad Ali’s penultimate over going for 22 runs. He began the over with a dot and a single before bowling a yorker to Faheem with United needing five off three.Faheem holed out on the fourth ball to Hassan Khan, whose acrobatic brilliance in the 16th over at the midwicket boundary had already saved a sure fire six off the same batter. Imad could only take a single on the fifth ball, while Green was unable to put bat on ball on the last ball mustering a leg-bye.Mark Chapman top scored for Islamabad United with 43 off 26 balls and swung the pendulum in favour of his team after walking in to bat at 57-3 in eight overs replacing Devon Conway (30, 25b, 3x4s, 1x6) in the middle. Lahore (Sports News): Hyderabad Kingsmen registered an emphatic eight-wicket victory over Multan Sultans in Eliminator 1 of HBL PSL 11 here at the Gaddafi Stadium on Wednesday night, sealing their place in Eliminator 2. It was the first HBL PSL 11 game in Lahore with fans in attendance.The Kingsmen, who lost their opening four matches of the tournament, have now won six of their last seven outings to remain in title contention. They will now face Islamabad United in Eliminator 2 on Friday, 1 May at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, with the winner taking on Peshawar Zalmi in the final on Sunday, 3 May at the same venue.Chasing 160, Maaz Sadaqat (64 not out, 33b, 4x4s, 5x6s) and Usman Khan (64, 35b, 8x4s, 3x6s) tore the chase apart with a second-wicket stand of 102 in 53 balls. The Kingsmen lost Marnus Labuschagne early off Mohammad Ismail for 11 with the scoreboard reading 18 for one in the third over. However, Usman dictated terms thereafter, raising his fifty off 29 balls in the ninth over.Usman fell with Hyderabad in touching distance of victory at 120 for two in the 11th over, leaving Maaz to finish the job with Saim Ayub. Islamabad (Sports News): Peshawar Zalmi captain Babar Azam smashed his fourth HBL PSL century to power his side to a 70-run victory over Islamabad United in the HBL PSL 11 Qualifier at the National Bank Stadium on Tuesday night, as a packed crowd welcomed the return of fans in emphatic fashion.Zalmi’s comprehensive triumph lands them in an HBL PSL final for the first time in five seasons while Islamabad will have another crack at a final berth in Eliminator 2 at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore on 1 May.Babar’s stunning ton, his second of the season and the 12th of his T20 career, was laced with 12 fours and four sixes. The star batter’s monumental 59-ball 103, which levelled him with Usman Khan for most HBL PSL centuries, set the tone for Zalmi’s batting dominance as they posted 221 for seven.Babar was ably supported by fellow opener Mohammad Haris in a breezy 72-run stand off 38 deliveries. Haris fell for a 16-ball 35 featuring five fours and two sixes off Shadab Khan after plundering 68 runs in the Powerplay, most any side has registered against Islamabad United in HBL PSL 11 so far.The in-form Kusal Mendis then put on 84 runs for the second with Babar, never letting the United bowlers get the upper hand. Karachi (PR): The Playing Control Teams for the 28 April Qualifier, 29 April Eliminator 1 and 1 May Eliminator 2 of the HBL Pakistan Super League 11 have been appointed, the Pakistan Cricket Board announced on Tuesday. Member of ICC Elite Panel of Match Referees Sir Richard Richardson will lead the Playing Control Team for the Qualifier between Peshawar Zalmi and Islamabad United at the National Bank Stadium, Karachi. Earlier he made his HBL PSL debut as Match official on 15 April and will bow out for this season having officiated 10 games. Christopher Gaffaney of New Zealand will be joined by Alexander Wharf of England as on-field Umpire for the Qualifier. Both are part of the ICC Elite Panel of Umpires. Faisal Khan Aafreedi, ICC International Panel Umpire, will serve as the third Umpire, while PCB’s National Elite Panel Umpire Zulfiqar Jan will be the fourth Umpire for the all-important 41st HBL PSL 11 match.Roshan Mahanama of Sri Lanka will lead the Playing Control Team in the both the Eliminators. He has the honour of officiating in all 11 HBL PSL seasons and his tally of games as Match Referee in the league currently stands at 127.  In the Hyderabad Kingsmen v Multan Sultans Eliminator 1 in Lahore, ICC Elite Panel Umpire Shahid Saikat from Bangladesh will join ICC Emerging Panel Umpire Asif Yaqoob as on-field Umpire, while Rashid Riaz Waqar of ICC Emerging Panel of Umpires will be the third Umpire. Nasir Hussain of ICC International Panel of Umpires will perform duties as the fourth Umpire. The Eliminator 2 on 1 May between winner of Eliminator 1 and losing team of Qualifier will be officiated on-field by ICC Elite Panel Umpires Ahsan Raza and Shahid Saikat, while Asif Yaqoob and Rashid Riaz will carry out the duties of third and fourth Umpire, respectively. 

Karachi (Sports News): The Pakistan Cricket Board has confirmed the ticket price and availability for the 28 April Qualifier match between Islamabad United and Peshawar Zalmi at the National Bank Stadium, Karachi. The development comes after Chairman PCB requested the Prime Minister to allow the fans for the HBL PSL Playoffs including the final as well.The coin toss for the Qualifier is set to take place at 6.30pm, while the first ball will be bowled at 7pm PKT on Tuesday. Fans in Karachi will be able to enjoy the match by buying a ticket worth PKR 500 (Five Hundred Only) for all the enclosures of National Bank Stadium, Karachi.The E-Tickets can be bought at pcb.tcs.com.pk from tonight, while the fans can also buy physical tickets from the TCS Box Office China Ground (Only Express Centre for physical tickets) situated opposite National Bank Stadium, Karachi. The physical tickets will be available for sale from Tuesday morning.Fans who buy E-Tickets can either enter the Stadium by showing the E-Tickets on their phones or they can get a print of their respective E-Ticket from home. Fans are requested to head to the stadium well before the start of play to avoid any inconvenience.
