Koper, Slovenia (Sports News): Janja Garnbret once again wowed her home crowd in Slovenia taking her fourth Koper gold in a row with Japan’s Neo Suzuki taking the men’s win for his third of the year.
Garnbret rarely disappoints her home crowd, and she wasn’t going to this time around either taking her 51st gold medal ahead of USA’s Brooke Raboutou and bronze medallist Chaehyun Seo from South Korea.
The men’s finalists were really tested on a difficult route with Suzuki showing why he was leading the overall series rankings for the year. He was joined by teammate Satone Yoshida on the podium who took silver with Indonesia’s Putra Tri Ramadani winning bronze.
Attention turns to Speed for the next events in the World Climbing Series, while Santiago, Chile is the destination for the Lead finale of the 2026 season on 23-25 October.
