ISLAMABAD: A three-day girls’ sports carnival 2024 concluded on Sunday here at Pakistan Sports Complex, as the event was organized by the Federal Ministry of Education and Vocational Training, Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Islamabad, and Federal Directorate of Education Islamabad.
Army Public School Hamayon Road Rawalpindi earned the top position with three gold medals, as they won football, basketball, and table tennis events after showing impressive performance.
On this occasion, the Ambassador of Austria to Pakistan, Andrea Wieck, visited all the stalls in the carnival and appreciated all efforts. Parliamentary Secretary Farah Naz Akbar, Army Public School System Rawalpindi Brigadier Dr. Mohammad Naveed, Federal Board, and Federal Directorate Directors were present on this occasion.
Federal Secretary for Education Mohiuddin Ahmed Wani thanked all the participants from the core of the heart and said that he was very happy to see such a large crowd and a successful festival organized for women.
In the end, he disbursed cash prizes, medals, and certificates to the sports teams from all the provinces of Pakistan, and congratulated the winning teams.
