Mohammad Shoaib topples Aqeel Khan 2-0 in Men’s Singles final, Soha wins U18 title

LAHORE: Pakistan number 2 tennis player Mohammad Shoaib thrashed Pakistan number one Aqeel Khan in straight sets 2-0 in the Men’s Singles final of the Sheheryar Malik Memorial Pakistan Open Tennis Championship that concluded at Sports Board Punjab Tennis Courts Nishtar Park Lahore on Saturday.
Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Shahid Zaman was the chief guest at the prize distribution ceremony and distributed prizes among the top position holders. Meheq Khokhar lifted the title of Ladies Singles after beating Esha Jawad in the final, as the score-line was 6-3, 2-6, and 6-4.

In Under-8 category, Salar Khan won gold, Daniyal Afzal Malik silver and Azan Imran bagged bronze medal. In U-6 category, Aneeqa Abbas and Faiz Pirzada joint gold medal winners, Mamoon Bari and Eman Shahbaz joint silver medallists while Ibrahim and Faizan clinched bronze medal.
