ISLAMABAD: Secretary of Tourism Gilgit-Baltistan Asifullah Khan has revealed that a three-day Sarfaranga Cold Desert Jeep Rally would be held from October 6 to 8, 2023.
He further said in a press conference at the local hotel that there would be many new activities along with tourism sports and women would also be involved in the activities.
“This will be the fifth edition of the annual jeep rally on the highest and coldest desert in the world and on the highest mountains. On the way to the rally, there is also the most beautiful view of the Indus river belt, this year Sarfaranga Desert Jeep Rally has a total length of 80 kilometers and this year the theme of the rally will be “Go Green” which means boycotting all kinds of plastic, ‘he added.
On this occasion Shagar Waliullah said: “The role of the community is important to maintain the law and order situation, along with the police, the community has also been trained”.
Shamil, who played an important role in the Jeep Rally, said that the purpose of such events was to provide an opportunity to the media so that they could convey the message to the people, and promote tourism in Pakistan.
The prize money of the Sarfaranga rally will be 7 million while the number of women participating in the rally will be 5 this time. The purpose of organizing the rally is to promote tourism in Pakistan.
