Karachi (PR): Sindh Sports Board emerged victorious at the Zulfi International Taekwondo Cup 2026, delivering an outstanding performance to secure the overall championship title.
According to Chief Organizer Hassan Ali, the colorful and highly competitive Taekwondo Championship was held in Karachi, with more than 400 athletes participating from various areas, including Karachi, Hyderabad and Jamshoro. The athletes competed in different age and weight categories and displayed impressive skills and techniques.
At the conclusion of the championship, Sindh Sports Board secured first position in the overall team standings, while Zulfi International Taekwondo Academy of Pakistan and Karachi Taekwondo Academy secured second positions. SOS Jamshoro and Blazon Taekwondo Academy finished in third position.
The competitions featured exciting bouts across various age and weight categories. Young athletes demonstrated excellent technical skills, speed, discipline and competitive spirit, keeping the atmosphere highly energetic throughout the championship.
A major highlight of the event was the strong participation of Taekwondo academies from Hyderabad and Jamshoro, alongside those from Karachi. The participation of more than 400 athletes made the championship highly competitive and reflected the growing popularity of Taekwondo among young athletes across Sindh.
The chief guests included Hajra Nawab and Senior Master Nadeem Asfahani, while showbiz personalities Aslam Sheikh and Shakeel Hussain also attended the event. The distinguished guests encouraged the participating athletes and distributed prizes and awards among the outstanding performers.
Speaking on the occasion, the guests emphasized the importance of promoting Taekwondo and providing young athletes with greater opportunities to develop their skills. They said that such competitions play an important role in engaging youth in positive activities while promoting discipline, confidence and a strong sporting spirit.
The successful organization of the Zulfi International Taekwondo Cup 2026 once again demonstrated the growing strength of Taekwondo in Sindh. The event also highlighted the emergence of talented young athletes from different cities who have the potential to represent Sindh and Pakistan at national and international levels.
Ala Imran and Mohsin Ali also played an important role in making the event a successful one.
