ITF Pakistan World Juniors Tennis 2025: Nadir becomes champion
Abdul Jabbar FaisalISLAMABAD: A local tennis player, Nadir Mirza became champion of the ITF Pakistan World Juniors Tennis Championship 2025 Leg-2, as his opponent in the final Takaya Ishi, was unable to play owing to an injury at PTF-SDA Tennis Complex in Islamabad on Saturday.A total of 36 boys and 24 girls from 18 countries, including Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Singapore, Turkey, Japan, China, Austria, Uzbekistan, the United Kingdom, Canada, Russia, Sweden, Korea, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Romania, and Sri Lanka, participated in the championship.The closing ceremony was graced by Mohyuddin Ahmad Wani, Federal Secretary, Ministry of Inter Provincial Coordination (IPC), as the chief guest. Senator Salim Saifullah Khan, Patron of the PTF, was the guest of honour at the occasion.Other guests included Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi, President of the PTF; Col. Zia-ud-Din Tufail, Secretary-General of the PTF; Col. Gul Rehman, Director Security of the PTF; Akhtar Nawaz Ganjeera, former DG-PSB; Syed Fahim Inam, Chief Marketing Officer of Serena Hotels; and a large gathering of national and international tennis players, parents, coaches, and media personnel.

Mikaeel and Oscar Emerged ITF Juniors Doubles Victorious
Islamabad (Sports Desk): A 15-year-old Mikaeel Ali Baig has shown incredible form over the past three weeks, playing the Davis Cup Junior Championship and two consecutive ITFs in Sri Lanka.Despite a challenging draw this week, he reached BOTH singles and doubles finals. And he emerged as the Doubles Champion with partner Oscar! This marks his 6th ITF final appearance in just a few months and his FIRST title. Due to his consistent performances, Mikaeel's world ranking has skyrocketed from the 1400s to the 800s.
