Islamabad (PR): Shifa International Hospitals Islamabad beat Bahria eleven-II Islamabad by 10 wickets in the Cricket match here at Navy Cricket XI Ground Islamabad. Shifa International Captain Ibrar Ikhlaq won the toss and invited to bat first Bahria Eleven II, Bahria Eleven-II hit up 220 for the loss of 9 wickets in the allotted 30 overs. Awais (50), Waheed (34), Saif (20) and Uzair (18) were the key contributors. Shifa International Captain Ibrar Akhlaq (3 for 39), M. Hashir Azeem (3 for 41) and Taimoor Mehmood (2 for 27) were the other main wicket-takers. In reply, Shifa International achieved the target in the 26st over for the without loss of wickets. Mann Filter Indoor Cricket Championship to start Karachi on November 16
Karachi:- The Mann Filter Indoor Cricket Championship 2025 is set to take place on November 16 at Zamzama Ground, Ground Zero. Five of Karachi’s well-known and competitive teams will participate in the event. Organized with the support of Pioneer Overseas Traders, the championship is being regarded as an important step toward promoting indoor cricket in the city. According to Chief Organizer Talha Ahmed Butt, all arrangements for the tournament have been finalized.The participating teams include Man Lions, Man Sixers, Man Thunders, Man Strikers and Man Royals. The team captains have also been officially announced:Shakeel (Azam Autos) will lead Man Thunders,Hafeez (Shaheen Enterprise) will captain Man Sixers,Talha Ahmed Butt (Owais Automobiles) will captain Man Lions,Mohsin (Union Filter House) will lead Man Strikers,while Arshad (Suzuki Motors) will captain Man Royals.Team and captain photographs have been released ahead of the tournament, further boosting excitement among cricket fans. According to the organizers, a large number of players, officials, and spectators from across Karachi are participating in the event, including several prominent cricketers.Pioneer Overseas Traders stated that the Man Filter Indoor Cricket Championship will provide young players with a strong platform to showcase their abilities. Nestled in the foothills, this state-of-the-art stadium is being hailed as a revolutionary step towards the promotion of sports in the Region. The inauguration ceremony was attended by a large number of locals, youth, and dignitaries, including Raja Ghalib of Charrah, Advocate Raja Aftab, and the well-known Raja Zia alias "Pappu." The stadium was inaugurated by Raja Abdul Khan and Raja Master Rasheed, father and uncle of stadium owner Raja Munawar Zaman۔Speaking to the media on the occasion, Raja Munawar Zaman said: “Ambani Cricket Ground was once a dream, and today it has become a reality. Our foremost priority is to provide healthy recreational activities and high-quality sports facilities to our youth.”He revealed that the project, which was initiated two years ago, has now been completed with international-level facilities, including floodlights, practice pitches, and a professional-grade cricket field.Launch of Hardball Cricket League & Cricket Academy During the event, the management also announced the launch of a Hardball Cricket League, set to begin on October 3rd and run until October 16th. Six prominent local teams will participate, with the goal of nurturing local talent and offering a platform for young players.In addition, plans were unveiled to establish a Cricket Academy at the venue, further solidifying the stadium’s role as a hub for cricketing excellence.The administration also revealed an upcoming Tape Ball Cricket League at the union council level in Islamabad, with participation open to teams from across the country.
