National Physical Disability T20 Cricket Championship starts
Quetta Bolan overwhelm Larkana by 7 wickets in the open match of the championshipSports Bulletin ReportQuetta (Pakistan): Quetta Bolan Physical Disability Team thrashed Larkana by 7 wickets in the opening match of the Shahid Afridi Foundation (SAF) National Physical Disability Grade 2 T20 Cricket Championship, which rolled into action at IT University Cricket Ground here under the banner of Pakistan Physical Disability Cricket Association (PPDCA) in collaboration with Shahid Afridi Foundation.Larkana got out after making 158. Zakir Ali was the top scorer with an aggressive 48 runs off 21 balls with nine fours while Ahmed Qureshi hit five fours and managed 36 runs off 24 balls. Larkana’s seven batters could not even reach in double figures. For Quetta, Tanveer Ahmed got four wickets for just 15 runs, while all-rounder Allauddin took four wickets for 25 runs.In reply, Quetta Bolan reached their target of 159 runs after losing three batters in 19 overs. Winners scored 161 runs. Amir Habib scored 45 runs with the help of 40 balls and five fours, while Allauddin scored 32 runs not out with the help of five fours, Noorullah scored 30 runs with the help of one four and a six and Sirajuddin with the help of three fours and a six. Khan Mohammad, Awad Ahmed, and Ahmed Qureshi took one wicket each for Larkana.Alauddin was judged player of the match for the all-round game and received the award from the chief guest, General Secretary Quetta Region Cricket Association Haji Abdul Malik. The remaining matches of the championship will be played in Sialkot and Faisalabad.At the end of the match, the special guest was Mohammad Kakar (General Secretary Regional Cricket Association Quetta), Haji Abdul Malik Ajkzai (former member of Cricket Management Committee Pakistan Cricket Board), Mohammad Khair (Chairman Regional Cricket Association Quetta) were present at this occasion.Chief Guest Haji Abdul Malik said, "I am very much among you people. I am thankful to the Regional Head PPDCA Aslam Bareach. I have a strong desire to go wherever there is PD cricket across Pakistan. Quetta region is ready to support PPDCA in every way.”
National Physical Disability Cricket Championship to start on July 15
Sports Bulletin ReportKARCAHI: The second edition of the Shahid Afridi Foundation (SAF) National Physical Disability T-20 Cricket Championship will start on July 15, 2024 at Quetta, said an official here on Wednesday in a press release.Larkana team will make first appearance in the National Physical Disability Cricket Championship. Match will be held at Buitems Cricket Ground at 1.30 pm while other matches of the championship will be played in Sialkot and Islamabad after Ashura. The final of the event will be played in Karachi. It is important to mention that in the first stage, the team of Multan was the champion, and the team of Bahawalpur was the runner-up.  
National PD T20 Grade-1 Tournament: Multan become champion
Sports Bulletin ReportMULTAN: Multan Physcaly Handicap (PD) cricket team have won the Shahid Afridi Foundation (SAF) National PD T20 Cricket Championship Grade-1 title after defeating Bahawalpur by 6 wickets in a one-sided contest in the final played here at the DHA Sports Complex.In the final, Bahawalpur could post a meager total of 127 runs on the scoreboard. Abid Hussain and Mann scored each 26 runs were the major contributors. Zubair Saleem dismissed 4 players for 26 runs, Mohammad Irfan took 3 wickets and Jahanzeb Tiwana took 2 wickets. In reply, Multan won the title for the fourth time by achieving the target of four wickets in the 19th overs, Majid Hussain remained unbeaten by scoring 45 runs with the help of 5 fours, Mohammad Zaman Ali scored 34 runs which included a six and 3 fours.On the occasion, former Test cricketer Masood Anwaar gave player of the match award to Zubair Saleem for the fourth consecutive time. Abdullah MasoodFAISALABAD: Lahore Sikandars got rid of Peshawar Lions by 1 runs in a nerve-jangling final of the Interloop Wheelchair Pakistan Champions Cricket League 2024 here at a local cricket ground.Defending champions Lahore Sikandars posted a competitive 218 for 7, thanks to Sajid Khan's blistering unbeaten 86 off 43 balls. Mohammad Faiz contributed a valuable 47 runs, while Rafaqat Hussain scored 27. Captain Zulfikar Swati, Mishal Khan, Gohar Afridi, and Qayyum Rajpoot each claimed a wicket.In response, Peshawar Lions' Gohar Afridi's magnificent century went unrewarded as they ended with 217 for 6. Mishal Khan scored 30, and Azmat Shah made 24, while Zawar Khan snapped up two wickets. Sports Bulletin ReportLAHORE: Bahawalpur defeated Peshawar to qualify for the Grade-1 final of the SAF Disability T20 Cricket Championship, organized by the Pakistan Physical Disability Cricket Association and Shahid Afridi Foundation. Bahawalpur defeated Peshawar by 22 runs in the first match, at the Race Course Park Ground Lahore on Thursday. Bahawalpur scored 140 runs for four wickets while playing first. Mohammad Nauman scored 68 runs with the help of 10 fours off 63 balls and Mohammad Shehzad scored 27 runs with the help of four fours. Abid Hussain scored 19 runs and Wasim Mirza scored 14 runs. Niaz Ali Shah took two wickets.In response, the Peshawar team got out after scoring 118 runs in 17.2 overs, Atif Khan scored 31 runs with the help of five fours and Nihar Alam scored 27 runs with the help of three fours. Abdul Khaliq took three wickets, Abid Hussain and Mohammad Asif took two wickets each while Mohammad Nauman got one wicket. Mohammad Nauman was declared the player of the match and was awarded by regional head Multan Bahawalpur Jameel Kamran. In the second match, Lahore overwhelmed Islamabad by a huge margin of 124 runs. Lahore scored 224 runs for five wickets while playing first. Mohammad Shehbaz played a brilliant innings of 121 runs with the help of 13 fours and eight sixes on 48 balls while Shahid Ali Vatto scored 37 runs. Hammad Shawkat took two wickets, while Waqif Shah, Zubair Khan, and Sakih Khan took one wicket each. In response, Islamabad scored 100 runs in 14.2 overs. Yasir Iqbal scored 33 runs with 6 fours and Mohammad Shehbaz was the leading scorer with 27 runs with 4 fours. Waseem Mirza dismissed five players.In response, Bahawalpur scored 120 runs for the loss of one wicket in 14.3 overs and won the match by 9 wickets. Mohammad Nauman scored an unbeaten 72 off 47 balls with 13 fours and Mohammad Shahzad hit four fours and one six, and added 32 runs. Abdullah Ejaz got the only wicket. Waseem Mirza was awarded the man of the match award by special Sheikh Naeem Chief Executive City for getting five wickets.In the other match, Islamabad beat Peshawar by five wickets. Bahawalpur and Peshawar clinch victories against Islamabad and Lahore on opening daySports Bulletin ReportLAHORE: Bahawalpur and Peshawar clinched victories against Islamabad and Lahore respectively, on the first day of the second phase of the Shahid Afridi Foundation (SAF) Disability T20 Cricket Championship that started in Karcahi on Tuesday.In the first match at the Race Course Park Ground Lahore, Bahawalpur defeated Islamabad by seven wickets. Islamabad scored 138 for 9 runs in 20 overs per innings fixture. Adil Mehmood made 32 runs off 16 balls with the help of four fours and two sixes, Usman Paracha scored 25 runs with the help of four fours and Salman Ahmed contributed 19 runs with the help of three fours. Mohammad Nauman scored 18 runs and Shah Bahram scored 13 runs. Mohammad Shahzad, Waseem Mirza and Abdul Khaliq took two wickets each while Mohammad Asif and Mohammad Nauman took one wicket each.In reply, Bhawalpur achived the target for three wickets. Mohammed Noman scored 56 with the help of two sixes and Mohammad Shahzad scored 41 unbeaten with the help of three fours off 28 balls. Abid Hussain and Mohammad Asif scored 14 runs each. Usama Ali took two wickets while Usman and Abdullah Ijaz one wicket each. In response, the Lahore could score 172 for 5 runs in allotted 20 overs. Physical Disability T20 Cricket Championship: Round-II ends
Sports Bulletin Report ISLAMABAD: Peshawar PD defeated Lahore PD by a huge margin of 139 runs to qualify for final of the 8th National Physical Disability T20 Cricket Championship here at Bhutto cricket ground on Thursday. They won their all three Pool B matches. Now, Peshawar will face Multan in the final in Karachi. Osama, the left-arm spin bowler, was declared the man of the match by taking 6 wickets for only 12 runs while bowling brilliantly and destructively. The special guest, Regional Head Peshawar Sajid Khan, gave Osama a cash of 1000 rupees along with the trophy. Regional Head Lahore Javad Ashraf was also present on the occasion. Playing first, Peshawar scored 188 runs for all 10 in the allotted 20 overs. Rahmat scored 39 runs with the help of 4 fours and a six, Atif scored 34 runs with 6 fours, Babar added 27 runs. Shahid Vito took 3 wickets and Bilal took two wickets. In response, team Osama of Lahore's match-winning spell returned to the pavilion with only 49 runs for 6 wickets instead of 12 runs. Sports Bulletin Report ISLAMABAD: Abbottabad PD and Peshawar PD registered triumphs in the second phase of the ongoing 8th National Physical Disability T20 Cricket Championship after defeating Lahore PD by 68 runs and Islamabad PD by 7 wickets respectively at Bhutto cricket ground G-7 Markaz Islamabad on Tuesday. The championship is being played under the banner of Pakistan Physical Disability Cricket Association (PPDCA). In the first match, Abbottabad DD defeated Lahore PD by 68 runs. Playing first, Abbottabad PD scored 194 runs for four wickets in the allotted 20 overs. On his behalf, Humayun scored 73 runs off 43 balls with the help of 9 fours and three sixes, while Ol Khan scored 43 runs, 40 runs with the help of four fours and one six, Faisal Hayat added 28 runs. Abdullah Ejaz and Shahid Vito took two wickets. In reply, Lahore PD team was bundled out for 126 runs in 18.3 overs. Scored 65 runs from Aftab Hussain and Mohammad Hussain took three wickets for Abbottabad. Chief guest Regional Head Peshawar Sajid Khan gave Humayun a cash award of 1000 Rupees along with a trophy for Man of the Match. In the second match, Peshawar PD defeated Islamabad DD by 7 wickets. Islamabad was bowled out for 119 runs while playing first, Mohammad Haroon scored 36 runs and Mohammad Naeem scored 30 runs on its behalf. Momin took 3 wickets for 19 runs while Aatif dismissed two players by giving 13 runs. In response, Peshawar PD made the required score for the loss of three wickets in 16.3 overs, Wajid Alam scored 49 runs with the help of 36 balls, five fours and two sixes, Rahmat hit three fours and a six in 36 runs, captain Nihar Alam Three fours were scored in 29 runs. Islamabad, Abbottabad post triumphs Physical Disability T20 Cricket
Abdul Jabbar Faisal ISLAMABAD: Islamabad PD trounced Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK) PD by 8 wickets and Abbottabad PD outplayed Rawalpindi PD by 5 wickets in the 8th National Physical Disability T20 Cricket Championship 2023 at Bhutto cricket ground here on Monday. Also, the winners confirmed their berths in Round II. In the first game of the day, Islamabad PD easily ousted AJK PD by 8 wickets. AJK batted first and in 18.4 overs the entire team was bundled out for 90 runs. Ahmed Majeed was outstanding by scoring 26 runs. Sajjad Hussain, Sakhid Khan and Waqif Shah took two wickets each. Captain and wicket keeper Usman Paracha hunted 3 players behind the wickets. In response, Islamabad achieved the required target of 92 runs for 2 wickets in 12 overs. Captain Usman Paracha hit 4 fours and made 32 runs not out. Adil Abbasi scored 23 runs and Usman Ghani scored 21 runs. Usman Pracha was judged best player of the match on his sparking performance with the bat and that was key in his team’s victory. At the end of the match, chief guest, Deputy Director of Navy, Khaleeq Khan, gave a cash award of 1000 rupees along with “Man of the Match” trophy to Usman Pracha. Later, in the second fixture of the day, Abbottabad PD beat Rawalpindi PD by 5 wickets and qualified for the next stage. Rawalpindi PD batted first and scored 145 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Bilal Azim scored 49 runs with the help of 5 fours and one six while batting well while Mohammad Arsalan also scored 40 runs with the help of 5 fours and one six. Aftab Hussain bowled well and got 4 wickets for just 11 runs. In reply, Abbottabad PD reached at the target after scoring 149 runs for 5 wickets. All-rounder Aftab Hussain hit 6 fours in a brilliant half-century of 51 runs, Rizwanullah smashed 3 fours and a six in 44 runs not out. Qayyum Khan took 3 wickets. At the end of the match, Regional Head Javed Ashraf gave Aftab Hussain a cash award of Rs. 1000. In the second phase on Tuesday, Lahore will face Abbottabad at 9 am, while Islamabad will face Peshawar at 1:30 pm at the same venue.
