Quetta Bolan overwhelm Larkana by 7 wickets in the open match of the championship

Quetta (Pakistan): Quetta Bolan Physical Disability Team thrashed Larkana by 7 wickets in the opening match of the Shahid Afridi Foundation (SAF) National Physical Disability Grade 2 T20 Cricket Championship, which rolled into action at IT University Cricket Ground here under the banner of Pakistan Physical Disability Cricket Association (PPDCA) in collaboration with Shahid Afridi Foundation.

Larkana got out after making 158. Zakir Ali was the top scorer with an aggressive 48 runs off 21 balls with nine fours while Ahmed Qureshi hit five fours and managed 36 runs off 24 balls. Larkana’s seven batters could not even reach in double figures. For Quetta, Tanveer Ahmed got four wickets for just 15 runs, while all-rounder Allauddin took four wickets for 25 runs.

In reply, Quetta Bolan reached their target of 159 runs after losing three batters in 19 overs. Winners scored 161 runs. Amir Habib scored 45 runs with the help of 40 balls and five fours, while Allauddin scored 32 runs not out with the help of five fours, Noorullah scored 30 runs with the help of one four and a six and Sirajuddin with the help of three fours and a six. Khan Mohammad, Awad Ahmed, and Ahmed Qureshi took one wicket each for Larkana.

Alauddin was judged player of the match for the all-round game and received the award from the chief guest, General Secretary Quetta Region Cricket Association Haji Abdul Malik. The remaining matches of the championship will be played in Sialkot and Faisalabad.

At the end of the match, the special guest was Mohammad Kakar (General Secretary Regional Cricket Association Quetta), Haji Abdul Malik Ajkzai (former member of Cricket Management Committee Pakistan Cricket Board), Mohammad Khair (Chairman Regional Cricket Association Quetta) were present at this occasion.

Chief Guest Haji Abdul Malik said, "I am very much among you people. I am thankful to the Regional Head PPDCA Aslam Bareach. I have a strong desire to go wherever there is PD cricket across Pakistan. Quetta region is ready to support PPDCA in every way.”
