Sports Bulletin Report ISLAMABAD: The Qualifying Round of the ITF Pakistan Juniors Tennis Championships leg-1 has been completed, as the main draw competitions would start on Monday at PTF-SDA Tennis Complex Islamabad.  A total number of 4 qualifying matches were played on the second day. A  Large number of foreign players (boys/girls) from Turkey, Russia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Thailand, UK, Malaysia, Romania, Singapore, China, Poland, South Korea, Canada and Pakistan are participating in the leg-1 event. Sports Bulletin Report ISLAMABAD: ITF Pakistan Juniors Tennis Championships leg-1 February 2023 commenced today at PTF-SDA Tennis Complex Islamabad.  A total number of 6 qualifying matches were played on the first day:  A  Large number of foreign players (boys/girls) from Turkey, Russia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Thailand, UK, Malaysia, Romania, Singapore, China, Poland, South Korea, Canada and Pakistan are participating in the leg-1 event. The event will provide a very good opportunity for the players to improve their ITF Ranking which is very useful for them in future. ITF Asia Under-14: Pakistani teenagers sweep the Leg-II event
Sports Bulletin Report ISLAMABAD: Duo of Pakistani teenager tennis lads Hamza Roman and Abubakar Talha swept the Leg-II event of the ITF Under-14 Development Championships, South, Southeast and East Asia by winning both Singles and Doubles fixtures, which concluded at Dhaka Bangladesh on Thursday. According to a press release of Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF), in the Boys’ Singles final, Pakistan players Hamza Roman outplayed compatriot Abubakar Talha 2-0 in the final with the score-line of 6-2 and 6-3. Earlier, in the Boys’ Doubles final, Hamza Roman pairing with Abubakar Talha outclassed their opponents from Bangladesh J. Bhuiyan and Mohammad Tushar in straight sets 2-0. The winners only conceded two games in both sets. Final score-line was 6-2 and 6-0. ITF Asia Under-14 Development Championships, South, Southeast and East Asia were held in Dhaka Bangladesh from January 7 to 19, 2023. Besides Pakistan, Myanmar, Cambodia, Mongolia, Laos, Nepal, Bhutan, Chinese Taipei, Bangladesh and Maldives took part in the two weeks international juniors tennis event. The Pakistani player's Hamza Roman and Abubakar Talha played exceptionally well in the Championships and won back-to-back titles. Senator Salim Saifullah Khan President PTF congratulated both the players and captain Khalid Mahmood Khan for the great achievement. Amir Asylkozhaev and Polina Kaibekova lift Boys’ and Girls’ Singles titles Sports Bulletin Report ISLAMABAD: Russian boy and girl, Amir Asylkozhaev and Polina Kaibekova have sealed the Singles titles of the ITF Pakistan World Juniors Tennis Championships Leg-II after winning their finals against respective challengers in straight sets 2-0 here at PTF-SDA Tennis Complex on Saturday. In the Boys’ Singles final, Amir Asylkozhaev of Russia outclassed Aarav Samrat Hada of United States of America (USA) 2-0 in a one-sided contest. The final score-line was 6-3 and 6-0. Amir displayed quality tennis and did not allow his rival to settle the feet in the court. The winning lad played an aggressive game by hitting beautiful strokes from down the line. His game was a blend of forehand powerful, backhand excellent drives and classic drop shorts. He also had an upper-hand in the service department throughout the match. Amir finished the match at 6-3 and 6-3 to lift the title. It is important to mention here that Amir had lost the first Leg final at the same venue. Earlier, in the morning session, Russian girl, Polina Kaibekova got rid of Janvi Aswa from India in similar style 2-0 in the Girls’ Singles event final at the same venue. Polina had also lost the final of Leg-I. She finished the final with the score-line of 6-4 and 6-4. Aleem Malik CEO-Signature Hotels was the chief guest at the closing ceremony, which was attended by Saeed Ahmad Khan SVP-PTF, Col. Gul Rehman Secretary-PTF, Sqn Ldr Naveed PAF and a large number of participants and tennis lovers. Mohammad Zaryab and Azat Sarsembaev win ITF Doubles title
faisal ISLAMABAD: Emerging tennis player, Mohammad Zaryab Khan pairing with Azat Sarsembaev from Kazakhstan sealed back-to-back second title of the ITF Pakistan World Juniors Tennis Championship after overcoming Aarav Samrat Hada and Aki Zuben Rawat 2-1 on set-break here at PTF-SDA Tennis Complex on Friday. The final score-line was 6-4, 4-6 and 10-5. It is important to mention here that Mohammad Zaryab Khan and Azat Sarsembaev had secured the Leg-1 title of the ITF Juniors’ Tennis Championship at the same venue on November 11, 2022. However, in the Boys’ Doubles final on Friday, both the winning lads proved too good for their opponents after showing their class especially in the first set and then in the set-break tie in a feisty battle. A sizable number of tennis lovers enjoyed the top-quality game of tennis. Earlier, in the Girls’ Doubles final, the pair of Deren Ozel from Turkey and Polina Kaibekova from Russia trounced Lia Belibova from Moldova and Melissa Jangarasheva from Kazakhstan in straight sets with the score-line was 6-2 and 6-1. ITF Juniors Tennis: Sami Zeb claims big win to reach in semifinal
AA Report ISLAMABAD: Sami Zeb claimed a big win to reach the semifinal of the Boys’ Singles discipline of the ITF Pakistan World Juniors Tennis Championship Leg-II against Kamonpanyakorn Thadpong of Thailand 2-1 here at PTF-SDA Tennis Complex on Thursday. The final score-line was 6-3, 4-6 and 6-3. Sami grabbed the first game easily by playing some powerful forehand drives and classic drop short at 6-3, however, in the second game was a bit released and missed some easy points. He also hit double faults twice and lost the game 4-6. In the third game, the local player changed his strategy and play nice game and did not allow his opponent to settle his feet on the court. He won the decisive game at 6-3 and confirmed his berth in the top-4 stage of the tournament. Deputy Director, Pakistan Sports Board (PSB), Mansoor Ahmad Khan visited the PTF Tennis Complex to witness the matches and also interacted with the players. AA Report ISLAMABAD: Rising tennis teenager, Sami Zeb Khan stunned Ibrahim Furkan Deniz in straight sets 2-0 in the ITF Pakistan World Juniors Tennis Championship Leg-II here at PTF-SDA Tennis Complex Garden Avenue on Wednesday. ITF Pakistan Juniors Tennis: Imran Khaitbaev wins Leg-1 title
Sports Bulletin Report ISLAMABAD: Uzbekistan tennis lad, Imran Khaitbaev beat Amir Asylkozhaev of Russia 2-0 in the final of ITF Pakistan Juniors Tennis Championship Leg-1 here at PTF-SDA Tennis Complex on Saturday. Imran crushed his opponent Amir Asylkozhaev in a single sided final in straight set, as he conceded just 1 and 2 games in both sets respectively. The final score-line was 6-1 and 6-2. A large number of foreign players from Turkey, Russia, India, Georgia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Australia, Sri Lanka, Thailand, United States of America (USA), Nepal, Malaysia, Moldova and Japan participated in the leg-1 event. President, Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF), Senator Salim Saifullah Khan was the chief guest at the closing ceremony, which was also attended by Humayun Saifullah Khan Former Provincial Minister-KPK and a large number of tennis lovers. The President-PTF, while addressing the participants, thanked them for visiting Pakistan. The President-PTF also stated that the conduct of such events in Pakistan and the participation of foreign players would further promote the soft image of Pakistan besides providing an opportunity for Pakistani players to compete with quality players. He also showed satisfaction with the overall arrangements which are in place for the conduct of the event. He thanked the Islamabad Police for providing foolproof security coverage for this event, and the media for highlighting the event comprehensively. ITF Juniors: Mohammad Zaryab and Azat claim Doubles title
Abdul Jabbar Faisal ISLAMABAD: Upcoming tennis lad, Mohammad Zaryab Khan pairing with Azat Sarsembaev from Kazakhstan annexed the Boys’ Doubles crown of the ITF Pakistan Juniors Tennis Championships Leg-1 after thrashing Ibrahim Furkan Deniz from Turkey and Imran Khaitbaev from Uzbekistan in straight sets here at PTF-SDA Tennis Complex on Friday. In Boys Doubles finals, Mohammad Zaryab Khan of Pakistan and his overseas partner Azat Sarsembaev of Kazakhstan overcame their challengers Ibrahim Furkan Deniz and Imran Khaitbaev with the score-line was 6-3 and 7-5 feisty battle. This was first ITF Juniors’ Title for both Azat and Zaryab. Zaryab's win, who trains at the NTC, will give a boost to his confidence, and inspire all the other local players. Earlier, in Girls Doubles final, Polina Kaibekova of Russian pairing with Deren Ozel from Turkey brushed aside Lia Belibova and Defne Yuksel in similar fashion 2-0 with the final score-line of 6-4 and 7-5to lift the title of ITF Pakistan Juniors Tennis Championship.
