Sports Bulletin ReportISLAMABAD: Karolina Ligai (KAZ), Hinata Wada, Dinara De Silva (SRI), and Chaeirn Lee (KOR) moved into the semifinals of the Girls’ Event of the ITF Pakistan PPL-Syed Dilawar Abbas World Junior Tennis Championship Leg-2 after beating their respective opponents at Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) Tennis Complex in Islamabad on Thursday.In the Boys Singles two Pakistani boys, Ahmad Nael Qureshi and Bilal Asim, have qualified for the semifinals. Ahmad Nael showcased an impressive performance, defeating Minwoo Kim of Korea 6-1, 6-2 to secure his spot. ITF Pakistan World Junior Tennis Championships Leg-2 starts
Sports Bulletin ReportISLAMABAD: The ITF Pakistan World Junior Tennis Championships Leg-2 got underway here at Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) Tennis Complex, as the Chairman Prime Minister Youth Program Rana Mashood Ahmad Khan graced the opening ceremony as a chief guest.The prestigious tournament, which has attracted 50 foreign players from 15 countries, reflects Pakistan’s growing prominence in the international tennis community. During his visit, Mashood met with the players, extended a warm welcome to the foreign participants, and conveyed his best wishes for the competition.Mashood also met Hassan Usmani, the winner of the Ashgabat Open ATF Under-14 Championship. He congratulated Hassan and his family on this remarkable achievement, praising his efforts in bringing laurels to Pakistan and keeping the national flag high.Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi (Sitara-e-Imtiaz) President of PTF, and Col. ISLAMABAD (PR): The ITF Pakistan J30 Ali Embroidery World Junior Tennis Championships 2024 commenced with qualifying round today at the Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) Tennis Complex in Islamabad. The main round will start on Monday at the same venue.As many as 47 junior players from around the globe, including 28 boys and 19 girls from countries such as Hong Kong, Japan, China, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Canada, Korea, Germany, Ireland, Kazakhstan, Maldives, and Singapore are participating the championships. U12: Mohammad Shayan Mohammad Junaid, Rashid to travel to Nepal
Sports Bulletin ReportISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) has selected a 3-member team including Mohammad Shayan, Rashid Ali, and Mohammad Junaid to represent their country in the forthcoming Under-12 Regional Qualifying Juniors tennis fixture, which will take place from May 20 to 24, 2024 in Nepal.According to an official of PTF, the trials for the selection of three (3) players for the Pakistan U12 Boys’ Juniors team were conducted from April 24 to 25 at PTF-SDA Tennis Complex, Garden Avenue Islamabad.The top 3 players will travel to Nepal to participate in the U12 Regional Qualifying tennis event, which will be held from the 20th-24th May 2024. Eight players were invited, based on their performance and current PTF U12 ranking, and the following 2 players, Rashid Ali, and Mohammad Junaid, have been selected after the completion of the trials. Mohammad Shayan was exempted from the trials due to his exceptional performances in the national tournaments.Mohammad Abid will be accompanying the team as Captain-cum-Coach. Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi President-PTF and Col. Zia-ud-din Tufail Secretary-General-PTF congratulated the selected players, wished them good luck, and advised them to display their best tennis.
