Islamabad (Sports News): Pakistan’s top 12 & Under tennis players, Mohammad Shayan Afridi and Rashid Ali, have departed for the United States to participate in the prestigious 64th Junior Orange Bowl International Tennis Championship 2025, scheduled to be held in Florida from 9–17 December 2025.
The Junior Orange Bowl is regarded as one of the most prestigious junior tennis tournaments in the world, attracting elite young players from across the globe. Entry into the event is strictly merit-based. Shayan Afridi earned direct entry into the main draw, while Rashid Ali received a main-draw wildcard from the Asian Tennis Federation in recognition of his outstanding performance throughout the year.
Their qualification journey began in May 2025 when Pakistan was crowned Asian 12 & Under Champion, earning qualification for the Asian Finals held in Singapore, where the team secured 6th position. The players then progressed to the Intercontinental Championship in Kazakhstan where they finished 5th, further strengthening their credentials for participation in the Junior Orange Bowl.
Another rising Pakistani star, Mikaeel Ali Baig, will also represent Pakistan in the 16 & under category, having earned his place through exceptional performances during the 2025 season.
