Gujranwala (April 15, 2025): Hosts Gujranwala beat Quetta by 4 wickets in the final of the 15th Edition of PBCC T-20 Blind Cricket Trophy 2025(Grade-2) here at Jinnah Cricket Stadium on Tuesday.
Gujranwala emerged victorious against Quetta, winning by 4 wickets. Gujranwala won the toss and opted to field first, a decision that would pay off handsomely as they restricted Quetta to a competitive total of 166 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Quetta’s innings was anchored by Nadir Ali, who scored 34 runs off 24 balls, while Naseeb Ullah supported the effort with a solid 32 runs from 30 balls. However, it was Israr Hassan's impressive bowling performance that stood out, as he claimed 3 crucial wickets for Gujranwala. Akram and Qasim also contributed by taking 1 wicket each.
In pursuit of the target, Gujranwala showcased a strong batting display, successfully reaching 167 runs in just 18.5 overs while losing 6 wickets. Israr Hassan continued his remarkable performance, scoring a match-winning 69 runs off 44 balls. He was well supported by Mohammad Akram, who added a valuable 63 runs from 53 balls, steering their team to a comfortable victory. Niamat Ullah was the standout bowler for Quetta, taking 3 wickets. Israr Hassan got man of the match award.
