Dhaka, Bangladesh (December 18, 2021):-The match between Pakistan and Korea ended 3-3 draw in the Asian Hockey Champions Trophy 2021, which is going on here in the capital city of Bangladesh. Pakistani striker Afraz got the man of the match award. Japan defeated hosts Bangladesh 5-0.
On Saturday, two more matches have been played in the ongoing Asian Champions Trophy in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The first match was played between Pakistan and Korea which ended in a 3-3 draw after a brilliant and lively contest. In the 14th minute of the first quarter of the game Kim scored a field goal to give Korea the lead. In the 24th minute of the game, Afraz ended Korea's lead by scoring a goal through a field goal. In the 33rd minute of the game, Pakistan's Rana Waheed strengthened his lead by scoring a goal on a penalty corner. In the 42nd minute of the game, Korean player Ji Wu scored a field goal to end Pakistan's lead and the match score became 2-2.
In the 56th minute of the game, Korea got a penalty stroke which was taken advantage of by Korean player Jing who scored a goal to establish Korea's lead. In the 57th minute of the game, Pakistan's Rana Waheed scored a goal on a penalty corner to end Korea's lead and make the match score 3-3 which remained till the end of the game.
Pakistan's goalkeeper Mazhar Abbas, defenders Emad Shakeel Butt, Mohammad Abdullah and Abu Bakar Mahmood showed excellent game. Pakistan's player Afraz was declared man of the match. In the eighth match of the event, Japan strengthened its position in the pool by defeating the host team Bangladesh by 5-0 goals in a one-sided contest. In the series of Robin Round matches, the match between India and Japan will be played on December 19 at 2:30 pm according to Pakistan time while Pakistan and the host team Bangladesh will play at 5:00 pm.
