FIFUSA WORLD CUP 2024: PSFF selects 23 players for training camp
Abdul Jabbar FaisalISLAMABAD: Pakistan Soccer Futsal Federation (PSFF) has picked-up 23 lads for a training camp aiming to prepare strong team for forthcoming FIFUSA Futsal World Cup, which will be held in September this year 2024.According to an official of PSFF, the players have been selected on merit after conducting two days trials at National University of Modern Languages (NUML). Over 250 players took part in the trials to show their game skills. Zener Caro, Cuban Ambassador, who visited trials venue, said: “I am impressed with the talent and dedication shown by all the participants. The level of the trials was high, and it looked to be a tough decision for coaches to select the final squad.”Mubashar Sanjrani, General Secretary PSFF said: “Federation welcomes and appreciates futsal players who traveled from all over the Pakistan to participating in this trials. We are confident that the chosen players to represent the national futsal team in the World Cup will demonstrate remarkable in the international arena.”PSFF Chairman Sardar Rafiq Sanjrani, President Tariq Mahmood, vice President Adeel Riaz, Director Admin NUML Brig (Retd) Mazher Masood(R), and other officials of PSFF attended the trials proceeding.Names of selected players: Abdul Moiz, Malik Hammad, Usman Aftab, Masood Khan, Iqbal Hussain, Mohammad Wali, Jalees Mir, Ahsan Iqbal, Abdul Rafey, Taimoor Nadeem, Khyzer Ahmed, Mian Syed Ali Shah, Rana Abbas, Sadain Ali, Munib Asghar Sheikh, Raza ullah, Mohammad Yasin, Aftab Hussain, Umer Saeed, Shoaib Hameed, Mir Wais Khan, Hammad Hasan, Umer Mehboob.
