International Sports Press Association honors Pakistani Journalist Amjad Aziz Malik

In a significant recognition of his lifelong contributions to sports journalism, Amjad Aziz Malik, President of the Pakistan Sports Writers Federation, has been elected as a Lifetime Honorary Member of the International Sports Press Association (AIPS).

The prestigious honour was conferred during the 88th AIPS Congress held in Lausanne, Switzerland, where representatives from 111 countries participated.

Alongside Malik, five other senior sports journalists from Japan, Spain, Malta, Brazil and Turkey were also awarded Lifetime Honorary Membership in recognition of their more than a decade of distinguished service to AIPS.

Amjad Aziz Malik has made history by becoming the first Pakistani sports journalist in the 102-year history of AIPS to receive this honour. His achievement is being widely regarded as a milestone not only for his personal career but also for the advancement and global recognition of sports journalism in Pakistan.

Secretary of the Pakistan Sports Writers Federation, Muhammad Asghar Azeem,President kp sports writers Asim Shiraz,secretary general shahid Afridi,Shakeel ur rehman and others members congratulated Malik on this remarkable achievement, stating that the honour is a matter of pride for the entire nation, especially the sports journalism community. He added that the recognition would further strengthen Pakistan’s positive image internationally and enhance the country’s representation in the field of sports journalism.
