Blind Goalball Team to visit China to participate in Goalball fixture

Players and officials will depart from Islamabad International Airport in wee hours at 4:00 am.President, Pakistan Blind Sports Federation, Mohammad Waqas said: “Goalball, a Paralympic sport designed for individuals with visual impairments, demands extraordinary teamwork, precision, and determination. The Pakistan Blind Goalball Team, comprising talented athletes, has been diligently preparing for this championship, honing their skills to perfection under the guidance of experienced coaches.The athletes are not only excited about the competition but are also optimistic about their performance. All Pakistan Inter Board Futsal Championship starts in Islamabad

Sports Bulletin ReportISLAMABAD: Eleven matches have been decided on the opening day of the All Pakistan Inter Board Futsal Championship, as the match between Islamabad and Faisalabad ended 3-3 draw at Pakistan Sports Complex, Islamabad on Friday. Dr. Ghulam Ali Malah, Executive Director, Inter Board Coordination Committee (IBCC), inaugurated the 3-days event.Chairman, Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Rawalpindi, Mohammad Adnan Khan, Secretary, Inter-Board Coordination Committee, Mohammad Buksh, and others officials including Shamashad Ali, Mohammad Fahmeed, Malik Suhail, Raja Sarwar, and Rana Abid were also present on the occasion. Eleven teams from all over Pakistan are taking part in the Championship and divided into two groups. Two teams from each group will qualify for the semifinals. 11 Pakistani Athletes to participate in the Para Asian Games 2023

Sarfaranga Cold Desert Jeep Rally to start on October 6, 2023

Sports Bulletin ReportISLAMABAD: Secretary of Tourism Gilgit-Baltistan Asifullah Khan has revealed that a three-day Sarfaranga Cold Desert Jeep Rally would be held from October 6 to 8, 2023.He further said in a press conference at the local hotel that there would be many new activities along with tourism sports and women would also be involved in the activities.“This will be the fifth edition of the annual jeep rally on the highest and coldest desert in the world and on the highest mountains. On the way to the rally, there is also the most beautiful view of the Indus river belt, this year Sarfaranga Desert Jeep Rally has a total length of 80 kilometers and this year the theme of the rally will be “Go Green” which means boycotting all kinds of plastic, ‘he added.On this occasion Shagar Waliullah said: “The role of the community is important to maintain the law and order situation, along with the police, the community has also been trained”.Shamil, who played an important role in the Jeep Rally, said that the purpose of such events was to provide an opportunity to the media so that they could convey the message to the people, and promote tourism in Pakistan.The prize money of the Sarfaranga rally will be 7 million while the number of women participating in the rally will be 5 this time. World Combat Games: 130 Saudi Athletes to participate in mega event

Sports Bulletin ReportRiyadh (Saudi Arabia): As many as127 male and female athletes will be presenting home side in the upcoming World Combat Games 2023, which will be held October 20-30 in the capital city of Riyadh.According to details, the Saudi capital will host the competitions in King Saud University Arena, where Saudi athletes hope to win medals with medals from this global sporting event, SPA reported.The Saudi teams comprise 87 male athletes, 40 female athletes, and 56 technical and administrative staff. Host athletes will compete in 12 sports including Aikido, Boxing, Fencing, Judo, Jiu-Jitsu, Karate, Kickboxing, Muay Thai, Sambo, Taekwondo, Wrestling, and Wushu.

Ghani Ur RehmanPESHAWAR: The Higher Education Department, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Peshawar Division has decided to organize a women's sports festival at the college level in a comprehensive way aiming to provide an opportunity for talented women to excel and the national level as well as international level.Regarding the organization of the Sports Festival” an extraordinary meeting was held yesterday at Government Girls Degree College Zaryab Colony Peshawar, which was presided over by President of Sports Committee and Principal of Girls Degree College Zaryab Colony Nehayat Saif. Arshad Hussain Deputy Director of Sports Higher Education Department, Roshan Zahra Principal Frontier, College for Women, Dr. Prof. Tahira Dar Principal City Girls Degree College Gulbehar, Sports Lecturers Najma Naz Qazi, Ruhina Tabasum, Sadia, Hijab, Gul Sanobar Ikhlas and Noor Haya, principals and teachers of 24 different colleges participated in the meeting.It is decided that female colleges, cricket, and athletics competitions will be held at Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University while Badminton competition will be held at Girls College Charsadda No.1, Volleyball event will be held at Tajo Bibi Charsadda Degree College, Table Tennis will be held at Bacha Khan Girls College, Netball and Basketball competitions will be held at City Girls College. In Gulbahar, Handball Frontier College, Throwball Gulshan Rahman College, and Tchoukball Tournament will be played in Girls College Nahaqi. Similarly, Asian-style Kabaddi has been included in women's sports for the first time. Various committees have been formed for the better organization of these competitions, for which the principal of Government City Girls College Gulbehar Professor Tahira Dar is the president of the sports committee, Najma Naz Qazi is the secretary, the executive committee is the principal Nehayat Saif, Roshan Zahra, Noor Haya, Shaista Shakeela, and Gul Sanobar Ikhlas, while the technical committee includes Gul Sanobar Ikhlas, Sadia, Amna, Afsheen Gul, Shah Gulon, and Najma Naz Qazi. The final date for these competitions will be announced soon.

Silver medalist Pakistan Street Children Football players arrive in Islamabad

Muslim Hands would also give education, and recognition to other unknown street children.The silver medal team arrived here on Monday at Islamabad International Airport and were warmly welcomed by the local players, parents of the boys, and officials of Muslim Hands, Later, in the afternoon the players visited the National Press Club (NPC) to attend the ceremony that was held in their honour.Chairman of Muslim Hands Pir Syed Lakht Hasnain said:“Pakistan team earned the second position in the tournament, which is a great honour for Pakistan. Muslim Hands managed all the needs of players to make them international players. We selected the players from all over the country on merit. Our coach Rasheed Ahmed did not compromise on merit and picked up the squad after a strict process. We hold camps all over Pakistan. We are satisfied with the performance of the players, as the Pakistan team scored 28 goals in the tournament and conceded only three goals”.“Although, our young guys were well prepared for the event and they toiled hard in the camp in the dog days of June/July, however, they were not familiar with playing in European conditions, as the pitches were wet in some matches. It was difficult for our players to give a hundred percent in such type of weather. We are happy with the team’s results. We claimed second position three times back-to-back, as we were runner-ups in Russia 2018 and Qatar 2022, and were third in 2024 in Brazil.”“During the tournament, the excitement was visible in the Pakistani community in Norway, due to the excellent performance of our team, Norwegians also became fans of the Pakistani team and were supporting our lads. I came from England to welcome the team. A total of eight matches were played in the cup, seven of which were won by the Pakistani team, while only in the final match Pakistani team played brilliantly throughout the match and finally lost on penalty kicks.”Captain Tufail Shamari said:“Our team played well in the tournament and we lost the final of penalty kicks, as the match was leveled 1-1 during the regular time. Our team went 0-1, and I scored a goal to bounce back in the gold medal battle. However, our luck was not good and we lost the final after 10 penalty kicks in the sudden death phase. We were provided nice facilities during the trip and being a leader of the Green Shirts I am pleased with the players’ performances. Our player Asad Nasir from Islamabad got the award of the best defender of the tournament, which is a great respect and honour for the whole nation.”
