Punjab Cup 2025: DS Polo stun Olympia/AZB by 9-5 to reach in final
Lahore (PR): DS Polo secured a spot in the main final of the Deepal 96 Punjab Cup 2025 continued at the Lahore Polo Club. DS Polo registered a commanding 9-5 victory over Olympia/AZB to earn a place in the main final. Max Charlton starred for DS Polo, smashing six superb goals, while Estanislao Abelenda netted two and Ahmed Ali Tiwana added one goal. For the losing side, Luis Manuel Aguirre thrashed in three goals, and Abdul Rehman Monnoo contributed two. DS Polo got off to a flying start, hammering in three stunning goals in the opening chukker to seize an early 3-0 lead. Olympia/AZB responded strongly in the second chukker, netting two consecutive goals to narrow the gap to 3-2. However, DS Polo quickly regained control, firing in another brace to extend their advantage to 5-2. The third chukker saw a closely contested battle, with both teams matching each other goal for goal, but DS Polo maintained their edge at 7-4. Heading into the decisive fourth and final chukker, DS Polo asserted their dominance once again, adding two more goals while restricting Olympia/AZB to just one. With a resounding 9-5 triumph, DS Polo sealed their place in the main final in emphatic fashion. In the second match of the day, BN Polo edged past FG Polo in a nail-biting encounter, winning it with a narrow margin of 8½-8. Marcos Solari led the charge for BN Polo with six goals, while Tito Ruiz Guinazu and Babar Naseem added one goal each. Raul Laplacette fought hard for FG Polo, smashing in superb seven goals while Nicolas Ruiz Guinazu chipped in with one. The action continues on Friday (February 14, 2025), with HN Polo facing Olympia at 3:00 pm. Jinnah Gold Cup 2025 Trophy: FG Polo claim title
LAHORE (PR): FG Polo clinched the 5th Jinnah Gold Cup 2025 trophy after defeating HN Polo 8-5 in the grand finale.A large crowd, including families and polo enthusiasts, gathered at Jinnah Polo Fields to witness the first high-goal season final. Chief Secretary Punjab Zahid Akhtar Zaman was the chief guest, while former players, including Club Secretary Maj (R) Ali Taimoor, were also in attendance. The final featured an exhibition of vintage cars and an exciting tent pegging display, adding to the event’s grandeur. FG Polo dominated the match, with Raul Laplacette scoring four goals, while Mian Abbas Mukhtar and Raja Mikael Sami added one goal each. For HN Polo, Haider Naseem netted three goals, and Hamza Mawaz Khan contributed two. The match kicked off at a blistering pace, with both teams showcasing exceptional polo skills and tactics. The intense battle saw each side convert two goals in the opening chukker, ending it in a 2-2 deadlock. HN Polo seized the early momentum in the second chukker, netting a field goal to take a narrow 3-2 lead. Lao Abelenda led the charge for DS Polo with a stellar performance, emerging as the top scorer with five fabulous goals, while Ahmed Ali Tiwana contributed two crucial goals. Despite enjoying a half-goal handicap advantage, BN/Newage put up a fierce fight, with Marcos Solari netting impressive five goals, and Tito Ruiz Guinazu adding one to their tally. Raul Laplacette of FG Polo was named player of the final, while the best pony award went to Mian Abbas Mukhtar’s mare.

Lahore (PR): Zacky Farm/Din Polo triumphed over Crewlogics Technologies in a sudden-death finish to clinch the title in the 4th Junior Polo Championship, sponsored by TCL, at the Jinnah Polo Fields and organised under the auspices of Lahore Garrison Polo Grounds. The final match, played at Pakistan Park Cavalry Ground, attracted a massive crowd, including families and young polo enthusiasts who gathered to support emerging players. The thrilling contest extended into the fifth chukker, where Zacky Farm/Din Polo sealed a narrow 3-2 victory. For the winning side, Abdullah Khattak led the charge with two goals, while Sheikh Muhammad Tayyab contributed with a well-crafted goal. Crewlogics Technologies had multiple scoring opportunities but failed to capitalize. Saim Abbas scored both goals for the runners-up, while Diyan Butt displayed an impressive performance. Earlier in the subsidiary final, Sula Polo edged past CTI Shipping in another nail-biting encounter, securing a 6-5 victory.

FG and HN Polo qualify for Jinnah Gold Cup final
LAHORE (PR): FG Polo and HN Polo have secured their spots in the main final of the 5th Jinnah Gold Cup 2025, following thrilling victories on the third day of the tournament here at Jinnah Polo Fields.As part of the season’s first high-goal event, two competitive matches were played yesterday, drawing a large crowd of spectators and families. In the first match of the day, FG Polo clinched a hard-fought 4-3 victory over DS Polo, booking their place in the final. For FG Polo, Raja Mikael Sami and Nicolas Ruiz scored two goals each. For DS Polo, Daniyal Sheikh, Max Charlton, and Ahmed Ali Tiwana each contributed one goal. The match kicked off with FG Polo drawing first blood through a well-executed field goal, but DS Polo quickly responded, leveling the score at 1-1. The second chukker mirrored the first, as both teams added one goal each, keeping the contest finely balanced at 2-2. In the third chukker, DS Polo edged ahead, netting the only goal of the period to take a slender 3-2 lead. However, FG Polo staged a brilliant comeback in the fourth and final chukker, firing in two consecutive goals to secure a thrilling 4-3 victory in a nail-biting finish. FG and BN/Newage secure wins in Jinnah Gold Cup Polo Tournament
LAHORE (PR): The 5th Jinnah Gold Cup Polo Tournament 2025, organized by Jinnah Polo Fields (JPF), witnessed two thrilling matches on the second day of action.In the first match, FG dominated JPF with an 8-4½ victory. JPF suffered an early setback when their key player Raja Sami was injured and had to leave the field, with Hamza Mawaz Khan stepping in as his replacement. Raul Laplacette led FG’s charge with an impressive display, scoring four brilliant goals. Raja Mikael Sami netted two, while Nicolas Ruiz Guinazu and Mian Abbas Mukhtar contributed one goal each. On the other side, Hamza Mawaz Khan scored all four goals for JPF, while they also benefited from a half goal handicap advantage. In the second match of the day, BN/Newage edged past Olympia/AZB with a narrow 4½-4 victory. BN/Newage's win was secured through their half-goal handicap advantage. Argentina’s 17-year-old rising star, Marcos Solari, was the hero for BN/Newage, scoring all four goals. For Olympia/AZB, Luis Manuel Aguirre netted all four goals in a valiant effort. LAHORE (PR): CrewLogix Technologies secured a crucial 7-5 victory against CTI Shipping on the second day of the 4th Junior Polo Championship, organized by Lahore Garrison Polo Grounds and sponsored by TCL.  The thrilling match, held at Pakistan Park Cavalry Ground, attracted a large number of spectators and families. Among the notable attendees were Club Secretary Major Babar Mehboob Awan, TCL’s Muhammad Owais, and other dignitaries.  In a competitive encounter, Saim Abbas led Crew Logix Technologies with an impressive four goals, while young Diyan Ahmed Butt added three goals to seal the victory. For CTI Shipping, M Mustafa Fahd Khan was the standout performer, scoring three goals, while Muzammil Ahmed and Syed Ayan Salman contributed one goal each. The opening chukker was a tightly contested affair, with both teams displaying remarkable skill and intensity, ending the period locked at 2-2. The second chukker maintained the thrilling momentum as each side added another goal to keep the score level at 3-3. Junior Polo: Zacky Farm Polo triumph over Sula Polo in opener
LAHORE (PR): Zacky Farm Polo outpaced Sula Polo in opening match of the 4th Junior Polo Championship 2025, sponsored by TCL Pakistan, commenced at Pakistan Park Polo Ground, marking the beginning of an exciting competition among young polo talents. The tournament, a part of the Pakistan Polo Association's official calendar, features four competing teams including Sula Polo, Zacky Farm Polo, CTI Shipping, and Crewlogix Technologies. A large number of spectators, including families and polo enthusiasts, gathered to witness the thrilling first match and cheered on the young players, creating a lively and encouraging atmosphere. Maj (R) Babar Mehboob Awan, the club's secretary, along with former polo players, also attended the event. The opening match saw Zaki Farms Polo Team secure a convincing 3-1 victory over Sula Polo Team. Zacky Farm Polo’s star player, Zackaria Daud Ali Khan, stole the show by scoring all three goals for his team, leading them to victory. Sula Polo's lone goal was scored by Rabeel Noman Hussain. On Tuesday (February 4, 2025), Crewlogix Technologies set to face CTI Shipping in what promises to be another exciting contest.

Balochistan clinch Maj Gen Saeed-uz-Zaman Memorial Polo Cup trophy
Lahore (JPR):: Team Balochistan defeated Team Army by 6-4½ in the thrilling final to clinch the trophy at the Maj Gen Saeed-uz-Zaman Janjua Memorial Polo Cup, sponsored by JS Bank, concluded at the Jinnah Polo Fields on Sunday. A large and enthusiastic crowd from Lahore gathered to witness the final match. The event's chief guest, Lt Gen Farooq Ahmed Khan, graced the occasion, accompanied by JS Bank Regional Head Majid Qureshi, Brig Badr-uz-Zaman (R), the son of Maj Gen Saeed-uz-Zaman, and Maj Ali Taimur (R), the club secretary. Numerous polo players and enthusiasts were also in attendance. Prior to the final, an exhibition two-chukker match betwen Young Girls and Young Boys teams was held, where the Girls' team outclassed their opponents with a 4-0 victory. The final match between Team Balochistan and Team Army was a gripping contest. Team Army maintained a lead through the first three chukkers. However, Team Balochistan showcased exceptional performance in the fourth chukker to secure the win. For Team Balochistan, Raja Mikael Sami led the scoring with three goals, while Ahmed Bilal Riaz, Mumtaz Abbas Niazi, and Lt Col Shahyan Abbasi contributed one goal each. On the other hand, Team Army's two goals were scored by Raja Samiullah, with an additional two and a half goal handicap advantage. The award for the best pony was given to Tatli, owned by Ahmed Bilal Riaz, while the best player of the final was awarded to Raja Mikael Sami. In the subsidiary final, Diamond Paints defeated DS Polo by 7-4 goals.

For Team Balochistan, Mumtaz Abbas Niazi fired in five fabulous goals, while Raja Mikael Sami smashed in four fantastic goals.On the Diamond Paints side, Mir Huzaifa Ahmed, Raja Temur Nadeem, and Raja Jalal Arsalan played outstanding polo and scored two goals each, while Shaikh Muhammad Farhad, substituting for Mir Shoaib Ahmed, contributed with one goal. The grand finale of the prestigious tournament will be contested on Sunday (January 26, 2025).Team Balochistan burst into the match with a resounding start, netting three spectacular goals to take a commanding 3-1 lead against Diamond Paints. The second chukker was a closely contested affair, with both teams scoring two goals apiece, leaving Team Balochistan still in the driver's seat with a 5-3 advantage.However, Diamond Paints staged a formidable comeback in the third chukker, slamming in three goals against Team Balochistan's two, narrowing the gap to 7-6. Other notables present on the occasion were executive committee members of the club, including Naseer Ahmed, Raja Amir, Saqib Khan Khakwani, and a large number of spectators and families.The main final match was fiercely contested, with Master Paints/Newage Cables securing victory in the final moments with a fabulous field goal by Bilal Haye that helped his side win the thrilling final by 5-4. For Master Paints/Newage Cables, Estanislao Abelenda and Alman Jaleel Azam thrashed in two goals each, while Bilal Haye contributed one. On the opposing side, FG/Din Polo's Raja Mikael Sami and Saqib Khan Khakwani each scored two goals.Earlier in the subsidiary final, IS/SQ/Platinum Homes defeated PB Polo 4-1 to claim victory.
