Baluchistan and Islamabad share bronze medal in National Games’ history

ISLAMABAD:-Pakistan WADPA have won both men’s and women’s team event tennis titles of the National Games 2023 after beating Pakistan Army in the final here at the PTF Tennis Complex, Garden Avenue on Thursday. Baluchistan and Islamabad earned bronze medals first time in the history of national games.
In the men’s final, Aqeel Khan gave Wapda a great start by beating Young Abdullah Adnan. Huzaifa Abdul Rehman then evened the tie by beating Mohammad Abid 6-0, 6-0. In the deciding doubles, seasoned Aqeel Khan pairing with Shahzad Khan defeated Huzaifa Abdul Rehman and Abdullah Adnan to win the gold for Wapda.
In the women's team events final, Sarah Mahboob Khan gave Wapda a positive start by beating up-coming Amna Ali Qayum. In the best match of the day, Ushna Suhail overcame Mahin Aftab in 3-tough sets.
