ISLAMABAD: Secretary, Pakistan Squash Federation (PSF) Aamir Nawaz formally announced that the Chief of Air Staff (CAS) Men’s and Women’s International Squash Championships would be rolled into action from November 20 at Mushaf Squash Complex Islamabad.
While addressing a press conference at a local hotel on Tuesday, he further added that four foreign players would take part in the annual fixture of CAS. “Men’s event is pursuing prize money of $12,000 while women’s $6,000. The main draw of both tournaments will consist of 24 players, “he said.
“Besides Pakistani players, athletes from Malaysia, Egypt, and Spain will compete in the forthcoming tournament. The prize money for the men's championship is USD 1805 for the winner and USD 1140 for the runner-up, while the prize money for the women's event is USD 902 for the winner and USD 570 for the runner-up. The championship finals are set to take place on December 4 at the same venue, “he concluded.
