ISLAMABAD: Five Pakistani players, Bilal Asim, Mohammad Talha Khan, Ahmed Nael Qureshi, Hamid Israr and Sami Zeb Khan have moved into the second round of the ITF Pakistan Juniors Tennis Championship Leg-1 after beating their respective rivals here at PTF-SDA Tennis Complex on Monday.
Pakistan's Mohammad Talha Khan toppled 5th seed Aryan Giri from Nepal that caused a biggest upset of the first day in an exciting 3-set encounter. The final score-line was 4-6,6-4 and 6-3.
In another thrilling match, Pakistan's Hamid Israr upset 7th seed Kamonpanyakorn Thadpong of Thailand 7-6 (1), 6-7 (8), 6-1. Senator Salim Saifullah Khan President-PTF graced the opening ceremony as chief guest.
