ISLAMABAD: Pakistani player Ahmed Nael Qureshi along with seven foreign players, Aarav Samrat Hada, Imran Khaitbaev, Burga Ozkoc, Azat Sarsembaev, Amir Asylkozhaev, Teetawat Tavachphongsri, and Zaidh Zihar moved into the Top-8 stage of the ongoing ITF Pakistan Juniors Tennis Championship after winning their respective matches here at PTF-SDA Tennis Complex on Tuesday.
In Boys’ Singles, Zaidh Zihar of Sri Lanka claimed an upset victory after beating 8th seed local guy Bilal Asim 2-1 with the score-line of 7-6 (5), 2-6, and 6-4. Meanwhile, in the Girls’ Singles, Dene Yuksel defeated high-ranked 4th Seed Natalia Zaman of Pakistan in straight sets with scores of 6-1 and 6-4. Indian Mandagalla Princy (IND) beat 8th-seed local girl Sheeza Sajid in another match.
