Men’s and Women’s finals on Saturday, Aqeel and Mohammad Shoaib win semifinals

ISLAMABAD: Sarah Mahboob and Noor Malik set their clash in the Ladies’ Singles final of the 8th Begum Kulsum Saifullah Khan National Ranking Tennis Tournament after beating their rivals in straight sets 2-0 Natalia Zaman and Meheq Khokhar respectively here at PTF-SDA Tennis Complex on Friday.
Later on, in the Men’s Singles semifinals top seed Aqeel Khan and Mohammad Shoaib registered victories to move into the final, as the both men’s and women’s finals will be played on Saturday at the same venue.
In the first semi-final, Aqeel Khan outclassed Muzammil Murtaza in straight sets, whereas Mohammad Shoaib thrashed Mohammad Abid to set up the Men's singles final. The Ladies Singles final will be played at 11:00 am while men's Singles final will be played at 1:00 pm on Saturday.
Senator Salim Saifullah Khan President-PTF and Anwar Saifullah Khan (former Federal Minister) visited PTF Complex today to witness the semifinals of men’s singles and met Pakistan's international star Aisam ul Haq Qureshi.
