Rajshahi (Bangladesh):-Pakistan Under-19 cricket team overpowered Bangladesh Under-19 by 4 wickets in only T20 fixture of the series At Shaheed Kamruzzaman Cricket Stadium on Wednesday, as Shamyl Hussain scored 67 runs while Arafat Minhas made 41 that helped Green Shirts to get the 160 runs target in 19.1 overs. Shamyl Hussain got man of the match award too.
While chasing 160 runs target in 20 overs, Shahzaib Khan lost his wicket without scoring a single run. Skipper, Saad Baig joined opening batter Shamyl Hussain, as both guys knitted 41 runs for the second wicket. At the departure of Saad (24, 16b, 3x4s, 1x6) in the sixth over, Mohammad Tayyab Arif (16, 19b, 1x4) stitched a 41-run partnership for the third wicket with Shamyl.
Following Tayyab’s wicket in the 12th over and Pakistan Under-19 still requiring 71 to win from 51 balls, left-handed Shamyl was joined by another left-hander Arafat Minhas. The pair added 56 runs for the fourth wicket off just 33 balls. Over the course of the partnership, Arafat scored 41 off 22 balls, smashing seven fours and one six.
Earlier, after being put into bat, Bangladesh Under-19 could post 159 for 5 runs in 20 overs on the scoreboard. Jishan Alam was top scorer for hosts, who scored 52 runs off 26 balls included five fours and four sixes. Ahmed Hussain bagged two wickets for 25 from three overs for Pakistan.
