KARACHI: The 48th National Snooker Championship will start on Monday (January 15) here at the Snooker Arena of National Bank Sports Complex.
The championship will continue till January 23. As many as 37 quests from all over the country are participating in this national championship, as the players have been divided into eight groups. Former world champion Mohammad Asif was awarded a wild card entry while 11-year-old Mohammad Sahil from Karachi will also participate in the National Championship.
The two top players from each group will qualify for the pre-quarterfinals. Winner of the National Championship last year, Sultan Mohammad, will defend his title. The league matches will consist of best-of-seven frames.
