FAISALABAD: Baluchistan have clinched the title of the A S Ali Blind Cricket Super League 2023 after defeating Punjab by six runs in the final at Bohranwali Cricket Ground Faisalabad on Wednesday.

Punjab won the toss and decided to bowl first. Baluchistan were bowled out on 471 runs in 39.5 overs. Faisal Mehmood played a marvelous innings of 165 runs (off 84 balls) and he was well supported by Shahzaib Haider, who got out after scoring 143 runs (off 96 balls). Badar Muneer, Ayyaz and Mehtab claimed 2 wickets each for Punjab.

In reply, Punjab started the chase briskly but at the end fell 6 runs short of the target. Punjab’s team was bowled out on 465 in 39.4 overs. Badar Muneer was their highest scorer with 148 runs (off 68 balls) and Mohammad Safdar made 95 runs (off 59 balls). Irfan took 2 wickets while Shahzeb Haider and Junaid fetched 1 wicket each for Balochistan.

Result: Balochistan won by 6 runs
