KARACHI: Sir Syed University (SSU) have won the HEC Inter-University Volleyball Championship after beating Aga Khan University (AKU) in the final 3-1 with the score-line of 25-21, 25-23, 26-28 and 25-20.
In the final, Sir Syed University won 3-1, the set score of their victory was 25-21, 25-23, 26-28, and 25-20. Earlier, IBA defeated Indus University 25-18 and 25-17 in the third position play-off.
Vice President of Sindh Volleyball Association Pervez Ahmad Khan was the chief guest of the championship final organized by Sir Syed University and in collaboration with Higher Education Commission at NED University Gymnasium.
University Registrar Commodore (Rtd) Syed Sarfraz Ali, Sindh Volleyball Association Secretary Shahid Masood, Sir Syed University Director Sports International Mubasher Mukhtar, Mohsin Ali Khan, Javed Iqbal, Numanuddin and others were also present.
Organizing Secretary and Director Sports Mubasher Mukhtar presented the report of the event. And said that 9 teams have participated in this volleyball event of Zone M for the first time, which is a record, this is a welcome initiative of HEC, if their support continues, the game of volleyball will also get more promotion.
