Pattya (Thailand): Former Davis Cupper and veteran Pakistani tennis men, Rashid Malik, and Hameed-ul-Haq have won the 60+ Singles title of the ITF Seniors’ Master Championship after beating David Eckley from USA pairing with Hakan Gustafsson from Sweden 2-0 in final at Pattaya, Thailand on Thursday. The final score-line was 6-3, and 6-2.
Former Davis Cup players of yesteryears, keeping Pakistan’s veteran tennis alive, Rashid Malik and Hameed-ul-Haq will be facing each other on Friday for the 60+ ITF Masters Singles Championship title.
Hameed, and Do Hong Wong from Canada overcame Anthony Campbell from Australia, and Florjan Frcej from Slovenia with the score-line of 7-5, 2-6, 10-4 in super tie break to reach the 55+ double to final.
