RAWALPINDI: Pakistan could post only 274 runs on the board on the second day of the second Test against Bangladesh here at Pindi Cricket Stadium on Saturday, as the first day of the ICC Test Championship fixture was called-off due to rain in twin cities Rawalpindi and Islamabad. Bangladesh were 10 for 0 at the end of day 2.

Earlier, visiting team captain won the toss and asked Pakistani counterpart to bat first. Opening batter Abdullah Shafique failed to score a solitary run, as he faced only 6 balls and bowled by Taskin Ahmed in the very first over of the match. Total score was also zero.

A 107 runs partnership between duo of left-handed batter opener Siam Ayub and skipper Shan Masood for the second wicket stabled the position. After just adding 8 runs in lunch interval total of 99, captain Shan wasted his vital wicket when he was judged LBW on the bowling of Medidy Hasan. Shan challenged the decision of field umpire but third umpire Asif Yaqoob upheld the decision of English umpire Michael Gough. Shan scored 57 runs and hit a couple of boundaries during his 69 balls innings. Siam Ayub (58), Shan Masood (57), and Agha Salman (54) were the top batters of the day.
