LAHORE: Irfan Saeed (Wapda) beat Muqeet Tahir (Wapda) in the Men’s Singles final of the 60th National Badminton Championship 2-0 here at WAPDA Sports Complex. The final score-line was just 21-11, 21-11.
Raja Mohammad Hasnain pairing with Raja Zulqarnain Haider of Pakistan Army won the men's double title, Mahoor Shahzad & Ghazala Siddique of Pakistan Wapda took the women doubles title and Raja Hasnain (Army) and Ghazala Siddique (wapda) won the mixed doubles championship.
Imdad Ullah Mamon President WAPDA Sports Board was the chief guest of the final ceremony and distributed the cash prizes, trophies and certificates amongst the finalists.
Wajid Ali Chaudhry President, Pakistan Badminton Federation, Tayyab Sohail SVP (PBF), Zarina Waqar Vice President Women (PBF), Major Shazada Saleem (Pak Army) and Mohammad Amjad Khan Secretary General Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Badminton Association was also present on the occasion.
