Aiman Fatima clinches historical victory against Kanz-ul-Eman in women’s final

LAHORE:-Mohammad Abrahim from Rawalpindi has won the Men’s Singles Under-19 title of Punjab Junior Badminton Championship 2023 after beating Mohammad Fiaq from Faisalabad 2-1 here at Nishtar Park on Wednesday. The final score-line was 21-23, 7-21, and 21-19.
Earlier, in the Women’s Singles Under-19 final, Aiman Fatima from Bahawalpur defeated Kanza-ul-Eman 2-1 to become the first-ever girl from Bahawalpur, who won both Singles and Doubles crown of the Punjab Juniors Badminton Championship.
Aiman Fatima outclassed Kanza Ul Eman in a three sets contest with the score-line of 21-18, 16-21, and 21-15. However, in Doubles fixture, Aiman Fatima pairing with Tayyaba Shafiq from Lahore ousted Kanza-ul-Eman from Rawalpindi and Kashmine Nadeem from Multan by 21-15, 21-7.
International badminton coach, Raziuddin Ahmad congratulated Aiman Fatima and her mentor Zahid Riaz Bhatti on this historical success for the Southern Punjab. Raziuddin praised the emerging young talent and extend best wishes for her bright future.
