Asian Taekwondo elects Wasim Janjua as its Council Member

ISLAMABAD:The Pakistan Taekwondo Federation (PTF) announced on Thursday that President PTF Lt Col (Retd) Raja Wasim Ahmed Janjua has been elected as a Council Member of the Asian Taekwondo Union (ATU).

According to an official of PTF; the elections took place during the ATU General Assembly held on July 24, 2025, in Kuching, Malaysia.

This achievement marks a significant milestone for Pakistan’s growing presence in the international Taekwondo community. Lt Col Raja Wasim Ahmed’s election reflects his years of dedicated service to the sport and his contributions to promoting taekwondo both nationally and internationally.

In the same assembly, Sang Jin Kim of South Korea was elected as the new President of the Asian Taekwondo Union.

The Pakistan Taekwondo Federation congratulates both leaders and looking forward to work collaboratively to further the development of taekwondo in Asia.
