As many as 16 teams worldwide will fight for top honour during the 12-day international prestigious hockey showpiece, as Argentine will defend their title.On Wednesday, Mohammad Asif Bajwa flanked by member of the NSC Olympian Anjum Saeed, Manager Asif Naz Khokhar, and Head Coach Roelant Oltamans, announced the squad after the approval President PHF, Khalid Sajjad Khokhar.It is pertinent to mention here that Green Shirts won only one time Junior Hockey World Cup title in 1979 after defeating West Germany in the final. Four foreign players to participate in CAS International Squash
Abdul Jabbar FaisalISLAMABAD: Secretary, Pakistan Squash Federation (PSF) Aamir Nawaz formally announced that the Chief of Air Staff (CAS) Men’s and Women’s International Squash Championships would be rolled into action from November 20 at Mushaf Squash Complex Islamabad.While addressing a press conference at a local hotel on Tuesday, he further added that four foreign players would take part in the annual fixture of CAS. “Men’s event is pursuing prize money of $12,000 while women’s $6,000. The main draw of both tournaments will consist of 24 players, “he said. “Besides Pakistani players, athletes from Malaysia, Egypt, and Spain will compete in the forthcoming tournament. The prize money for the men's championship is USD 1805 for the winner and USD 1140 for the runner-up, while the prize money for the women's event is USD 902 for the winner and USD 570 for the runner-up. The championship finals are set to take place on December 4 at the same venue, “he concluded.
Ibrahim clinches Aitchison National Squash Championship title
Sports Bulletin ReportPESHAWAR: Army squash lad, Ibrahim Mohib has won the title of the Aitchison National Squash Championship after beating Ibrahim Zeib from Pakistan Air Force (PAF) 3-1 in the final.Ibrahim won the first game while in the second game his opponent had the advantage, after which Ibrahim Mohib was successful in the third and fourth game. The final score-line was 11-7, 7-11, 12-10, and 11-8, as the minutes lasted for 40 minutes. In the Under-13 final, Sohail Adnan defeated Syed Mohammad Hussain while In Under-19, Abdullah Nadeem won the trophy by defeating Kaleemullah of Punjab by 3-0.

Attcok set the competitive total of 239 runs on the board for loss of 5 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Ehtisham ul Haq played a fantastic innings of unbeaten 134* runs off 79 balls and Mohammad Noman made 35 runs off 36 balls. Mohammad Ali Akasha bowled splendidly and took 3 wickets for Karachi. Naeem Ullah was the 2nd highest scorer with 100 runs off 59 balls.In reply, Sargodha was restricted to 207 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in allotted 20 overs. Pakistan WAPDS got rid of the Pakistan Army by 73-70.Both teams displayed exceptional skills and tenacity and fought until the final moments. Wapda, however, seized control in the last quarter, securing a thrilling 73-70 victory. Zainul Hassan of Wapda emerged as the hero of the day, contributing a stellar performance with 28 points, while teammates Mohammad Usman and Mohammad Zahid Arif added 14 and 13 points, respectively. Despite a valiant effort from Army, Wapda's dominance in the closing stages proved decisive. Tughlab Ammar led the scoring for Army with 24 points, followed by Shoaib Aslam with 19 points and Sheraz Aslam with 12 points.
