ISLAMABAD (December 25, 2022): Nasir Iqbal and Mariam have grabbed the men’s and women’s titles of the National Squash Championship after winning their respective finals at Mushaf Squash Complex Islamabad on Sunday.
In the Men’s Seniors’ final, Nasir Iqbal from WAPDA got rid-of upcoming squash lad Noor Zaman from PAF 3-1 in a well-contested four games match. The final score-line was 11-7, 11-9, 9-11 and 11-9, as the match lasted 38 minutes.
Earlier, in the Women’s Senior final, Mariam Malik (Army) thrashed Noor-ul-Ain Ejaz from SNGPL in straight games 3-0. The third game finished very close that decided on a tie-break. The final score-line was 11-6, 11-6, and 12-10. The match lasted 30 minutes.
