Korean Ambassador National Taekwondo Championship kicks off at PSC

ISLAMABAD (December 19, 2019):-The 14th Korean Ambassador National Taekwondo Championship 2019 kicked off from Thursday at Amir Khan Boxing Hall, Pakistan Sports Board, Islamabad.

Kwak Sung-Kyu, Ambassador Republic of Korea in Islamabad graced the opening ceremony as chief guest. On this occasion, Akbar Durrani, Secretary for ministry of Inter Provincial Coordination (IPC) was also present.

Pakistan Air Force (PAF) was dominated on the first day of championship, as all three gold medals won by the PAF’s athletes. Two gold won by Tanzeela while one by Shahzad Ali in three different categories competitions. Army grabbed all three silvers while Sindh, WAPDA, Railways and Khyber PakhtoonKawa (KPK) claimed bronzes medals.

In the five days national fixture, teams from all four provinces, Departments, Services, Gilgit Baltistan, Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) and Islamabad will be participating to win the medals. The event is being sponsored by Korean Embassy, Omar Associate, AF Powertek Engineering FZC and Fauji Fertilizer Bin Qasim Ltd.
