Karachi (Sports Report):-The prestigious ,10th Addition of Essa Lab National Seniors and Juniors Tennis Championships concludes at Modern Club Hard courts .The Championship was sponsored by Dr. Essa Laboratory & Diagnostic center and organized by Karachi Tennis association under the auspices of Pakistan Tennis Federation and Sindh Tennis Association.
Mohammad Faiz Kidwai, Director Elect Rotary International was the chief guest who gave away awards and trophies to winners & runners up of various events in the presence of sizeable crowd. Aslam Ranger (Wall Street Exchange Pvt. Ltd) Anwar Baig (Modern Club), Zubair Hameed (Head Essa lab Dhora Jee Branch) were guest of honor.
Mohammad Ahtisham of Lahore emerged victorious in Juniors under 18 Singles Final when he beat Raahim Veqar in three sets encounter , score was 4-6, 6-4, 6-4. Natalia Zaman earned top honor in Girls under 18 Singles event beating Zainab Ali with 6-0, 6-1 score.
Under 14 Singles title was annexed by Lahore’s Asad Zaman , He beat Nadir Mirza (of RMTA)with 4-1, 4-2 score .
In under 12 Singles Final Samer Zaman beat Lahore’s Zuhaib Malik with 4-2, 4-0 score. Under 10 singles event was won by Rashid Ali Bachani ( Hyderabad) , He beat younger brother Majid Ali Bachani with 4-1, 4-2 score.
Men’s Singles event was won by Omer Shahid , who beat Vinod Das with 6-1, 6-1 score. In men’s Doubles Final Aqeel Shabbir & Murad Khan beat Shahab Khan + Adnan Khan with 8-4 score. 45 Plus Doubles winners were Zafar Hasan+ Sher Ahmed , they beat Javed Iqbal+ Muhammad Iltifat with 8-6 score. In 55 Plus Doubles Pasha + javed beat Zafar Hasan + Razi Nawab.
