Sialkot: Pakistan junior’s squash team and officials arrived here after winning the Asian Junior Squash Championship title, as they thrashed traditional foes India in the final 2-0. The prestigious 10-nation regional squash showpiece was held from February 8 to 12 at Indian Squash Academy Chennai.
Pakistan Squash Federation (PSF) arranged a very warm reception in honour of the winners on their return from India after winning the gold medal during the 21st Asian Junior Squash Team Championship. A group of 10 teams participated in the championship.
Pakistan team was composed of Noor Zaman Khan, Mohammad Hamza Khan, Mohammad Ashab Irfan, and Anas Ali Shah and they outclassed the Indian team at their home ground with their excellent performance in the final.
On their arrival at Sialkot International Airport in the morning, a large number of squash lovers were present to receive the national team. In the evening, a similar reception was given to the national team at Pakistan Sports Complex, Islamabad.
