Punjab Junior Tennis Championship 2022: Abdur Rehman, Hajra in finals
Sports Bulletin Report LAHORE:-The rising stars Abdur Rehman and Hajra Sohail reached the finals of their respective categories in the Talat Rafiq Punjab Junior Tennis Championship 2022 here at PLTA Courts on Friday. In the boys U-14 semifinals, Abdur Rehman (SICAS) played well against M Sohaan Noor and outpaced him by 8-5 while talented Amir Mazari (Aitchison) took little time to brush aside young Eesa Bilal by 8-1.  In the boys/girls U-12 semifinals, Abdur Rehman continued his good show and played tremendous tennis against Aalay Husnain and outsmarted him by 8-2 while emerging star Hajra Sohail exhibited her prowess against spirited Bismal Zia and outlasted her by 8-1.  In the girls U-16 semifinals, Hajra Sohail maintained her supremacy and this time, she trounced young Fatima by 8-1. In the boys/girls U-10 semifinals, Hajra Sohail totally blanked her opponent Taha Asad and crushed him by 8-0 while Ehsan Bari beat Ameen Abdullah 8-3. All the finals will be played tomorrow (Sunday) followed by the colorful concluding ceremony.  Both brother and sister, Abdur Rehman Sohail and Hajra Sohail are brilliant students of renowned coach Rashid Malik (SBP Head Coach) and they are trained and coached well by the former Davis Cupper – Rashid Malik – who dubbed him as future tennis stars. According to Malik, both the kids have potential and with more hard work, training and facilities, these kids can do wonders at a higher level.

ITC Twin City Tennis Tournament starts

Punjab Junior Tennis Championship: Abdur Rehman, Bismal shine on third day
Sports Bulletin Report LAHORE:-As many as 14 more matches were decided on the third day of the Talat Rafiq Punjab Junior Tennis Championship 2022 here at the Punjab Tennis Academy, Bagh-e-Jinnah on Thursday. In the Boys’ Under-16 semifinals, Abdur Rehman (AAA Associates), a brilliant student of SICAS, played well against Mohammad Sohaan Noor and outpaced him by 8-5 while Amir Mazari (Aitchison) outsmarted young Arman Kamran by 8-2. In the Girls’ Under-16 quarterfinals, rising star Bismal Zia displayed superb tennis skills and techniques against Javaria and outlasted her by 8-3. In the Boys’ Under-14 quarterfinals, Abdur Rehman (AAA Associates) outclassed young Aalay Husnain by 8-0 while Mohammad Sohaan Noor overwhelmed Naad e Ali by 8-0. In the Boys/Girls Under-12 quarterfinals, Abdur Rehman took little time to brush aside Abdur Rehman Zahid by 8-0 while upcoming star Bismal Zia overpowered Mustafa Khalil 8-0. In the boys/girls U-10 quarterfinals, Hajra Sohail (AAA Associates) outclassed M Ayyan by 8-0, Taha Asad defeated Zaina by 8-6 and Ameen Abdullah beat his opponent by 8-7.

Punjab Junior Tennis Championship starts
Sports Bulletin Report LAHORE:-The Talat Rafique Punjab Junior Tennis Championship 2022 started at the Punjab Tennis Academy, Bagh-e-Jinnah on Wednesday under the banner of Punjab Lawn Tennis Association (PLTA).  PLTA Secretary Rashid Malik (Tamgha-e-Imtiaz), who is also a tournament organizer, inaugurated the event at the colourful opening ceremony, which was also attended by players, their families and tennis lovers. Results: Boys’ Under-16: Abdur Rehman (AAA Associates) beat Hanzala Anwar 8-0 and Arman Kamran beat Eesa Bilal 8-0 Boys’ Under-14: Eesa Bilal beat Inam Bari 8-3, Aalay Husain beat Hassan Ali 8-0 and Nade e Ali beat Hussain Ali 8-1 Under12 Boys/Girls: Fajjar Fayyaz beat Ahmad Khuda Bakhsh 8-4.

Reza Mirza Tennis Academy League: Farhan Altaf claims top position
Sports Bulletin Report KARACHI:-The 2nd Reza Mirza Tennis Academy (RMTA) Tennis League concludes at RMTA Academy Karachi on Tuesday, as Farhan Altaf of Sindh occupied top position after getting highest points in round Robin Men’s Singles. Omer Shahid Maniya got second, Nadir Mirza 3rd while Ibrahim Iltifat got 4th position. In Boys’ Under-15 Singles, Ahsan Ahmed stood at 1st position with maximum points while Soyam Mukesh got 2nd, Nael Mirza 3rd and Dhuraf Das at 4th position. Reza Mirza, Director RMTA & Vice President Sindh Tennis Association distributed the glittering crystal trophies and certificates to the winners and runners up. He announced to hold 3rd addition of league in the month of August and 6th McDonald National Juniors & Seniors Tennis Championships in the month of September this year in Karachi. Mohammad Khalid Rehmani thanked Reza Mirza for his support for promotion of tennis and Wheelchair tennis in country and added that the round robin matches are being held to engage top players of city to play against each other with regular interval.
