KARACHI:-The 2nd edition of the Gatorade Trophy Tennis Championship commenced at Union Club. Mohammad Khalid Rehmani, Vice President Pakistan tennis Federation formally opened the Championship. The Championship is being sponsored by Pakistan Beverage Limited, organized by Karachi Tennis Association.
Prominent who graced the first day were Shakir Hussain, Area Manager Pakistan Beverage Ltd, Mohammad Shaikr, (NGO Rahnuma). Seema Shakir (NGO Rehnuma), Amber Nazir (Dodgeball), Raisa Ashfaq (KTA), Perween Akhter ( KTA), Sarwar Hussain ( KTA).
Mohammad Asif of PAF Base Masroor beat Saad Ahmed in straight sets 2-0 with the score-line of 6-1 and 6-2 in the opening match of the championship.
