Tanveer to participate in Para Archery World Ranking Event
Sports Bulletin ReportISLAMABAD: International Blind Archer Tanveer Ahmed will represent Pakistan in the Para Archery World Ranking Event & European Cup 2024, which are being held in Prague from 22-30 June 22 to 30, 2024.According to Secretary General, Pakistan Archery Federation (PAF), Zulfiqar Ali Butt, Tenvir will also participate in the 1440 VI Archery Double FITA Round to be held in Belgium from 2-8 July 2025. He has safely reached Prague for international competitions.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Open Archery Championship to start on October 14
Ghani Ur RehmanPESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Archery Association has announced to organize the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Open Archery Championship in the provincial capital Peshawar from October 14 at Hayatabad Sports Complex.Secretary of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Archery Association, Internationally Qualified Archery Coach Sarfraz Khan told reporters at Peshawar Press Club that more than 60 male and female players from across the province including Peshawar, Mardan, Hazara, Malakand, DI Khan, and Kohat would participate in the two-day championship in Peshawar.“Chairman of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Archery Association Pir Adil Shah will be the chief guest at the opening ceremony, and will also provide archery equipment to the players. Earlier, Kohat District Archery Association has been provided complete archery equipment, “he added.
Tanveer claims second position in Remote Shoot Indoor Archery League
ISLAMABAD (Sports Desk): International Visually impaired Pakistani Archer Tanveer Ahmed claimed second position in the Remote Shoot Indoor Archery League 2023 that held in Belgium.According to available information from abroad, International Visually Impaired Archer Tanveer Ahmed got 2nd Place in 60x Remote Shoot Indoor Archery League Stage 183 Belgium. American player Waltj Janice got top position with 443 points while Tanveer scored 318 points.
Archer Tanveer to participate in World Archery Para Championship

Abdur Rehman receives IOC Honors from IOC President Thomas Bach
Sports Bulletin ReportISLAMABAD: Pakistan Archery Head Coach Hafiz Abdur Rehman received International Olympic Committee (IOC) Honors from IOC President Thomas Bach for archery achievements in Pakistan.According to an official of Pakistan Archery Federation (PAF), Hafiz Abdur Rehman National Head Coach on successfully completed the International Coaching Enrichment Certificate Program (ICECP) that was offered by the University of Delaware in partnership with the United States Olympic and Paralympic Committee, IOC.Archery coach Hafiz Abdur Rehman graduated from the International Coaching Enrichment Certification Program (ICECP) class of 2020-2023 with a special ceremony at the International Olympic Committee (IOC) headquarters in Lausanne.Hafiz Abdur Rehman was one of 44 coaches from five continents, 27 countries, and 17 sports who completed an intensive four-module coaching education program, which focused on improving coaching infrastructure in their home countries.The ICECP is among the worlds most recognized and respected coaching education programs. It is offered in partnership between the United States Olympic and Paralympic Committee (USOPC), Olympic Solidarity, and the University of Delaware and International Federation (WA). The courses are taught by Team USA's Sport Performance and the University of Delaware experts and other leading international sports professionals in their respective fields.The 33-year-old is a National Archery Coach Qualified from World Archery and Level 3, USA, and Level 1 & 2 Trainer USA. He started a series of Archery coaching courses in Pakistan. Hafiz Abdur Rehman was also instrumental in developing Archery Standards in Pakistan with the Archery Federation.
Pakistan Army archers win National Archery Championship

KARACHI: Pakistan Army have won 9th National Archery Championship with four gold medals while WAPDA won one gold medal to maintain second place at MC Sports Complex Karachi. Sindh created a new history by winning the bronze medal in the men’s team event.
Secretary of Pakistan Archery Federation Zulfiqar Butt, Chairman of Sindh Archery Association Imtiaz Shaikh, Secretary of Sindh Archery Association and Organizing Secretary of the event Syed Ijaz Ali, Secretary of Sindh Olympic Association Ahmed Ali Rajput, Khalid Rahmani, Abdul Hameed, Majda Hameed and others were also present.
In the mixed team event, Pakistan Army won gold, WAPDA won silver and Pakistan Police won bronze. Sindh won the bronze medal while in the women’s team event, Pakistan Army won gold, WAPDA won silver and Punjab won bronze medals.
In the finals, Idris Majeed of Pakistan Army won the gold medal by defeating Isra Ral Haq of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Mohammad Nadeem of Army won the bronze medal. WAPDA's Nighat Naheed beat Pakistan Army's Umm Kulsoom in women's individual head-to-head competitions.
Umm Kulsoom also set a new national record in Pakistan Archery. She set a new record with a score of 584, while her previous record was 577. Idris Majeed in men and Umm Kulsoom of Pakistan Army were declared the best archers in women.
Tenveer wins gold in All Pakistan National Blind Archery Championship

RAWALPINDI: The 2-day All Pakistan National Blind Archery Championship 2022 concluded here at Liaquat Bagh Sports Complex Rawalpindi.
The national event was organized by Rawalpindi District Blind Archery Association. Chief guest Rabia Agha Armghan, Founder E- Educators and District Sports Officer Shams Toheed Abbasi distributed prizes among Players and officials.
Event was played at 18 meters in four categories. In Male VI-1 Category, Waleed Aziz from Rawalpindi won gold, Tayyab Zulfiqar from Wah Cantt won silver and Mohammad Salman from Islamabad won bronze medal.
In VI 2/3 Category, world No 2 Tanveer Ahmed from Rawalpindi won gold medal, Mohammad Usman from Wah Cantt won silver while Talha from Jhelum won bronze medal.
Meanwhile, in female category, Syeda Farwa from Wah won gold, Shumaila Kiran from Sawabi won silver and Nimra Rafiq from Rawalpindi won bronze medal.
In emerging player category, Rana Anwar from Multan won gold, Kashif from Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK) won silver and Bakhtawar from Islamabad won bronze medal.

RAWALPINDI: All Pakistan National Blind Archery Championship 2022 will start on Saturday under the banner of Rawalpindi District Blind Archery Association in Collaboration with the District Sports Department Rawalpindi at mini sports complex Liaquat Baugh here.
According to an official, over 30 male and female players will participate in the 2-day All Pakistan National Blind Archery Championship. Male and female Archers from Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Gilgit, Kashmir, Peshawar, Mardan, Lahore, Multan, Jhelum, Bahawalpur, Attock and Karachi including Word No 2 Visually Impaired Archer Tanveer Ahmed will participate in this mega event.

Islamabad:-Top Pakistani Blind Archer Tanveer Ahmed pairing with Loridana from Italy created history by winning first ever gold medal in the Mix Team Blind Archery Event in Andorra International Open for VI Archery 2022.
According to available information from abroad, they won the final against Stuart Rogers and Andrea Thomas from United Kingdom (UK) in Mix Team Event by 6-0 in 18 meter Event.
Blind Archer Tanveer Ahmed Clinches Silver Medal in Andorra

Islamabad:-Pakistan number one Blind Archer Tanveer Ahmed has won the 3rd medal of the year by lifting a silver medal in Andorra International Open for VI Archery 2022 on Friday.
According to available information, he lost in the final against Kathleen of Belgium in the 30 meter event. Earlier Tanveer Ahmed scored a personal best 396 points in the qualification round.
Anette Londal from Norway won bronze in the championship. Blind Archer Tanveer Ahmed will also participate in 18 meter individual and mixed international team events on September 24 and 25, 2022.
