U19 Women: Challengers, Conquerors post wins in T20 Tournament
Sports Bulletin ReportLAHORE: Aleesa Mukhtiar’s three-fer helped Challengers beat Invincibles by 28 runs, while Conquerors’ Komal Khan 97 helped her side to a 98-run win over Stars in the fourth round matches of the U19 Women’s T20 Tournament 2024 at the LCCA Ground in Lahore on Sunday afternoon.Today’s win has kept Challengers and Conquerors’ 100 per cent win record in the tournament after their third outings. Batting first, Challengers scored 96 for five in 20 overs. Esha Tir Razia top-scored for the side with a 25-ball 20, which included three boundaries.In turn, Invincibles were bundled out for 68 in 18.3 overs. Left-arm spinner Aleesa was the most successful bowler, taking three wickets for 13 runs. Aqsa Bibi and Hadia Mina bagged two wickets apiece.In the match between Conquerors and Stars, the former after opting to bat first scored 168 for six in their 20 overs. Komal Khan, coming to bat at number three, scored 97 off 59 balls, hitting 16 fours and two sixes. For Stars, Mahnoor Zaib and Memoona Khalid bagged two wickets apiece.In the run-chase, Stars managed to score only 70 for the loss of nine wickets in their allotted 20 overs. ICC Women's Under-19 World Cup 2025: England squad named
Sports Bulletin ReportLondon (UK): The England Women U19 squad for the ICC Women’s U19 World Cup 2025 in Malaysia has been named, as the Spinner Tilly Corteen-Coleman impressed domestically and produced some stand-out performances for Southern Brave in this year’s edition of The Hundred and is selected while Davina Perrin, who featured in the 2023 edition of the ICC Women's U19 World Cup, is also included.Sixteen teams from around the world will take part in the 41-match event across 15 days of competition from 18 January to 2 February 2025. It will be the hosts Malaysia’s first appearance in the U19 Women’s T20 World Cup as well as Samoa’s first appearance in an ICC World Cup event. Drawn in Group B, England take on Ireland, Pakistan and USA with all group B matches in Johor.Five non-travelling reserves have also been selected. Pakistan Women to face India Women on Sunday at the Dubai International Cricket StadiumSports Bulletin ReportSharjah (UAE): Pakistan Women defeated Sri Lanka Women by 31 runs as they defended a low total of 116-run in the second match of the opening day of ICC Women’s T2o World Cup 2024 at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Thursday. Pakistan Women will face India Women in their next fixture on Sunday, October 6, at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. Skipper Fatima Sana led from front as she top scored, batting at No.7, with 30 off 20 balls and followed it up with 2-10 in 2.5 overs. Sadia Iqbal’s 3-17 was backed up by two wickets each by Omaima Sohail (2-17) and Nashra Sundhu (2-15) as the trio returned figures of 7-49 in 12 overs to restrict Sri Lanka to 85-9 in 20 overs.Earlier, after opting to bat first, Pakistan found themselves in trouble as they were reduced to 32-3 after six overs. Nida Dar (23, 22b, 1x6) and Omaima Sohail (18, 19b, 1x4) stitched a 25-run fourth-wicket stand to stabilise the innings before the latter fell at halfway stage with 57-4 on the board.That Pakistan were able to accrue 59 runs in the last 10 overs was largely due to Fatima Sana’s charge with the bat as she hit three fours and one six in her outing after walking in at 72-5 in 12.3 overs. South Africa had beaten Pakistan by 10 runs in the first T20I on Monday evening at the same venue. The third T20I of the series will be played on Friday, with the first ball to be bowled at 10am.In the must-win game, after being put into bat, Pakistan scored 181 for four in 20 overs – their highest T20I score, surpassing the 177 made against Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur in 2018. Openers Gull Feroza and Muneeba Ali got going from the start as the pair struck four boundaries in 20 balls, before Gull was dismissed for 10 off 11 balls in the fourth over by Tumi Sekhukhune.With 25 runs on the board, left-handed batter Muneeba was joined by Sidra and the pair knitted a quick-fire 49 runs off 39 balls for the second wicket. PCB confirms commentators for Pakistan v South Africa women’s series
Sports Bulletin ReportMULTAN: The Pakistan Cricket Board confirmed a five-member commentary panel and one presenter for the Pakistan v South Africa women series taking place at the Multan Cricket Stadium in Multan.The three-match T20I series is scheduled to take place on 16, 18 and 20 September, with the first ball of the first and second T20I matches to be bowled at 7.00pm, while the third T20I will be begin at 10.00am.Bazid Khan, Ejaz Ahmed, Hijab Zahid, Kainat Imtiaz and Sana Mir will be on the commentary panel for the series, while Sawera Pasha will serve as the presenter.Cricket fans in Pakistan will be able to watch the matches in high definition on A Sports. Livestreaming for viewers across the Pakistan region will be available on the PCB’s official YouTube channel.Also, to encourage fans to come to the ground, the entrance to the stadium will be free. The spectators will be required to bring their original ID card to get inside the stadium.

Sports Bulletin ReportMultan (September 12, 2024): Pakistan and South Africa women’s cricket teams are set to feature in a three-match T20I series from 16 to 20 September at the Multan Cricket Stadium. The first and second T20I on 16 and 18 September, respectively, will start at 7pm while the third T20I on 20 September will begin at 10am.Schedule of training, media opportunities and T20Is:13 September - South Africa women’s team will arrive in Lahore early morning. They will travel to Multan from Lahore on a chartered flight. The PCB will provide arrival footage to the media in WhatsApp groups. Pakistan women’s team will train at the Inzamam-ul-Haq Cricket Academy from 3:30pm. This will be a vision only opportunity and no media interviews are planned. ICC Women’s T20 World Cup: Fatima Sana to lead Pakistan
Sports Bulletin ReportLAHORE: Fatima Sana has been named as the Pakistan women’s cricket team captain for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 in the United Arab Emirates from 3 to 20 October. The decision was a unanimously one made by the women’s national selection committee.22-year-old Fatima, who has featured in 41 ODIs and 40 T20Is, has previously led Pakistan emerging and domestic sides. She also captained the Pakistan side to a famous ODI win against New Zealand in a Super Over at the Hagley Oval, Christchurch, in December 2023.Fatima will replace 37-year-old all-rounder Nida Dar, who took over as all-format captain from Bismah Maroof. Nida, a veteran of 112 ODIs and 153 T20Is, is part of the side that has been clubbed with Australia, India, New Zealand and Sri Lanka in Group A. The revised fixtures of the group will be announced by ICC in due course.The selection committee has made only one change in the squad, which featured in last month’s ACC Women’s Asia Cup in Sri Lanka.
