Habib Memorial National Professionals Golf Tournament concluded in grand fashion at the Karachi Golf Club, witnessing stellar performances from some of the finest professional golfers in Pakistan. Ahmed Baig (PAF) displayed remarkable consistency to clinch the Professional Champion Title, shooting 273 (-15) and taking home Rs 937,676. Mohammad Zubair (KGC) finished as runner-up, posting 275 (-13) and securing Rs 602,787.The event, held from February 6 to 9, 2025, brought together top senior, junior, and professional golfers, competing for a substantial prize purse across multiple categories. Mohammad Tariq (ICGC) emerged victorious in the Senior Professionals category, finishing with a total of 140 (-4) over two rounds. Aurangzeb Khan (KGC) closely followed with 141 (-3).In the Junior Professionals division, Syed Ali Noshairwan Naqvi (LGG) secured the title with a total score of 151 (+7), narrowly edging out Rehan Babar (LGG) at 152 (+8). The PRO-AM event saw 27 professionals participating, with Muhammad Zubair’s team winning the top prize of Rs 50,000. Minhaj Maqsood’s team finished as runners-up, while Shahid Javed Khan’s team claimed third place.Kamram Zahoor was the winner in KGC Caddies, Saleem Inayat in KGC Senior Professionals and Abdullah became title holder in KGC Professionals category. Top five golfers according to PGF criteria, were paid appearance money of PKR200,000 each among Mohammad Shabbir (Islamabad Golf Club), Mohammad Alam (Garrison), Mohammad Munir (Rawalpindi), Minhaj Masqood (Rawalpindi), and Mohammad Zubair (Karachi).Simimarly PKR 75,000 each were paid as appearance money to Senior Pros: Mohammad Akram, Nisar Hussain and Mohammad Tariq. PKR 150,000 were equally distributed among junior professionals Rehan Babar, Mohammad Sahil and Shahbaz Ali. Amjad Yousuf from Rawalpindi scored a spectacular Hole-in-One at Blue Hole No. 4, winning a Toyota Altis. Tallat Ijaz achieved second Hole-in-One in the same category and was awarded a Golf Kit.The Chief Guest Governor State Bank of Pakistan, Jamil Ahmed said that Bank AL Habib’s Rashid D. Rashid D. Habib Open: Defender and runner-up share lead on first day

Habib National Professional Golf Tournament rolled into action here at Karachi Golf Club, delivering an exhilarating day of competition as top professional golfers showcased their talent on the course.Ahmed Baig and Mohammad Zubair dominated the leaderboard, both carding an impressive 65 (-7), setting the pace for the tournament. Their stellar performances were marked by precise driving and superb putting, making them the players to watch in the coming rounds. Close on their heels, Mohammad Munir posted a solid 67 (-5), followed by Mudassir Iqbal with a 68 (-4), keeping the competition intense.The course played exceptionally well, with ideal weather conditions favoring aggressive play. The par-5 holes proved to be the biggest scoring opportunities, with many players taking advantage to gain strokes on the field. Notably, Ahmed Baig's consistency across the front and back nine helped him secure his top spot, while Zubair's precision on the greens solidified his position.Following closely behind, Mohammad Sajjad, Mohammad Sharif of Pakistan Navy (PN), and Tallat Ijaz each finished with a score of 69 (-3), positioning themselves within striking distance of the leaders. With such a tightly contested leaderboard, the next rounds promise to deliver thrilling golf action. Rashid D. Habib Golf Tournament to start on February 6 in Karachi

Habib Memorial National Professional Golf Tournament 2025 will tee off on Thursday, 6th February at the picturesque Karachi Golf Club (KGC). The final round will be played on Sunday, 9th February 2025.More than a hundred top golfers will compete in the Professionals category for one of the most coveted four-day National Competition of the Annual Golf Season. Last year, Ahmad Baig of RPG won the coveted trophy by carding 275, 13 under par, to win the tournament. Muhammad Zubair of KGC was the runner-up by carding 282, 6 under par. Prior to this event, a two-day match for local KGC Professionals, Senior Professionals and KGC Caddies, the 24th edition of Rashid D. Habib Memorial Golf Tournament, is being played on 3rd and 4th February 2025. This Year Bank AL Habib PRO-AM Golf tournament has also been added for the encouragement and collaboration of Professionals with Amateurs to support and develop professional golf at KGC. The total Prize Money of PKR 12 million includes PKR 9.4 M for Best Performers in National Professional Category, PKR 1.95 M for KGC Professionals, Caddies and Senior Pros, as well as the newly added amateur category. Appearance Money for Top professionals has been enhanced to record PKR 1.37 Million. For encouragement of golf this year top three Junior professionals have also been considered for appearance money. The Appearance Money is distributed amongst the top five Professionals including top three Senior Professionals and Junior Professionals, as per PGF current order of merit.The lucky players achieving first hole-in-one will also be rewarded with a Toyota Corolla and a Suzuki Alto in National and Local KGC categories respectively. The prize distribution ceremony will be held on 9th Feb 2025.

Chief of Naval Staff Amateur Golf Championship to start on Thursday
Sports Bulletin ReportISLAMABAD: The 17th Chief of Naval Staff (CNS) Amateur Golf Championship 2024 will tee off on Thursday (October 31) here at Margalla Green Golf Club (MGGC), this was revealed by Patron of Pakistan Navy Golf (North) Commodore Saqib Ilyas at a press conference on Wednesday.Saqib Ilyas further divulged media persons that around 300 golfers from all over the country would take part in the four different categories during the 4-day prestigious national annual golf fixture. For the first time in the history of CNS Golf Championship winner will be decided of gross score.
