ISLAMABAD: A 10-Day Women’s Youth Tennis Training Camp rolled into action at SDA-PTF Tennis Complex under the banner of Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) in collaboration with Serena Hotels on Thursday.
Pakistan Women’s Tennis Association (PWTA) has launched a 10-day Women’s Youth Tennis Training Camp, and 26 young girls from twin cities Islamabad and Rawalpindi are participating in the camp, aiming to promote and develop women’s tennis in Pakistan.
Top national coach, Mahboob Khan, Sara Mansoor , Assistant Coaches Waqar Ahmad, and Husnain Mehmood will train the budding tennis girls during the camp.
The opening ceremony was graced by Zaira Ahmad Zaka, Secretary General-PWTA, Sarah Ibrahim Khan, Treasurer-PWTA, officials from Serena Hotels, PTF representatives, and a large number of parents.
Asma Khawar Khawaja, President- PWTA, also thanked the Serena Hotels management for supporting this remarkable initiative. She added that, in collaboration with Serena Hotels, PWTA aims to expand this program to other cities across Pakistan in the near future. Col. Ziauddin Tufail, Secretary General- PTF, also thanked Serena Hotels for their ongoing commitment and valuable contributions to the development of tennis in the country.
