Kamran Steel ATF Under-16 Asian Tennis Tour Leg-1 starts
Sports Bulletin Report LAHORE: The Kamran Steel ATF 16&Under Asian Tennis Tour 2022 (Leg-1) was formally inaugurated here at the Sports Board Punjab Tennis Academy Nishtar park Lahore on Monday. Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Ehsan Bhutta inaugurated the event in the presence of Mian Mohsin from Kamran Steels, Tournament Director Rashid Malik (Tamgha-e-Imtiaz), Tournament Referee Shehzad Alvi, players, their families and tennis lovers. Rashid Malik thanked Mian Mohsin of Kamran Steels for sponsoring the Kamran steel ATF 16&Under Asian Tennis Tour 2022 and hoped that they will continue to support this beautiful game. On the opening day, the matches were contested in different age group categories. In the boys Under-16 first round, Asad Zaman beat Kashan Tariq 6-2, 6-2, Aized Khalil beat zain Saeed 6-2, 6-3, Nabeel Qayum beat Taimoor Ansari 6-1, 6-7, 6-4, Sheheryar Anees beat Abdullah Pirzada 6-1, 6-2 and Waleed Humayun beat Hamza Rehmat 6-1, 6-1.  Meanwhile, in the Kamran Steel Punjab Junior Tennis Championship 2022, the matches were also competed. In the boys/girls U-14 first round, Abdullah Pirzada beat Mohammad Inam Bari 6-0, Amna Qayum beat Abdur Rehman Pirzada 6-0, Aalay Husnain beat Naad e Ali 6-0, Bismel Zia beat Eesa Khan Malik 6-0, Abdur Rehman beat Mohammad Ayan Khan 6-0. In the boys/girls U-12 qualifying round, Shafay Iqbal beat Hassan Alam 6-0, Hafiz Hassan beat Nameer Ahsan 6-3 and Mohammad Ayan Khan beat Aaliyan Ali 6-0. Speaking on the occasion, Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Ehsan Bhutta said: “Tennis is one the most popular sports of the world and the poor and deserving players have equal right to play this game. We are giving maximum playing opportunities to children with a humble background in sports. Poor children of schools and colleges can also play at this world class tennis venue.” The Secretary Sports further said that the Sports and Youth Affairs Department Punjab is taking effective measures to bring forward the talented children from remote and backward areas. “World class tennis courts have been built with modern facilities where we will hold more big tennis events for the promotion of this game among the younger generation,” he asserted.

MID COURT ATF Under-14 Championships Leg-2 concludes
Sports Bulletin Report Islamabad: MID COURT- Athletes Unraveled ATF Under-14 Championships 14 Leg-2 concluded in a highly befitting manner at PTF Tennis Complex Islamabad. In Boy's doubles final, Abubakar Talha / Zohaib Afzal Malik beat Amir Mazari / Samer Zaman 7-6, 6-4 and won the MID COURT- Athletes Unraveled ATF Under-14 Championships Leg-2 title. Tariq Mahmood Murtaza President Islamabad Tennis Association (ITA) and Chairman of Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) graced the occasion as chief guest and distributed the prizes. Murtaza, while addressing the participants, appreciated the standard of the young players. He also congratulated the winners and runners-up. He hoped that conduct of such tournaments will further improve the quality of our players in the very infancy.

Tennis star Aisam-ul-Haq inks MoU with Sports Board Punjab
Sports Bulletin Report LAHORE: Director General Sports Punjab Mohammad Tariq Qureshi and Pakistan’s international tennis star Aisam-ul-Haq inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the promotion of tennis among the young generation during a press conference at National Hockey Stadium on Wednesday. As per MoU, Aisam-ul-Haq along with Pakistan No 1 Aqeel Khan and other top tennis players will impart modern training to six players of Sports Board Punjab along with 16 players of Aisam’s Ace Academy for one year. Director General SBP Mohammad Tariq said: “Sports Board Punjab is going to initiate a partnership with Pakistan’s tennis stalwart Aisam-ul-Haq for nurturing teenage tennis players from across the province. It is the right time to make collective efforts for the growth of tennis across the province. Under the MoU, we will focus on the training of Under-14, Under-16 and Under-18 players at our State of the Art tennis courts adjacent to Punjab Tennis Stadium. Aisam-ul-Haq along with Pakistan No 1 Aqeel Khan and other top tennis players will impart modern training to young camp probables”. Aisam-ul-Haq further said: “This MoU is signed for one year for the first time in the history of the country and hopefully this collaboration will continue in future as well. “The duration of MoU reflected the seriousness of Sports Board Punjab for the promotion of tennis in all parts of the province. Sports Board Punjab built according to international standards and are equipped with all modern facilities. I will not take any remuneration for coaching the young players. Being Pakistan's number one player, it is my obligation to develop new players. I want to give the facilities that I and Aqeel Khan did not get during our initial stages to the young generation”.

NK Punjab Junior Championship: Asad, Sohaan, Hajra win titles
SPORTS BULLETIN REPORT Lahore: Talented Asad Zaman, Mohammad Sohaan Noor and Hajra Suhail have won their respective titles in the New Khan Punjab Junior Tennis Championship 2022 that concluded here at Punjab Tennis Academy on Saturday. In the boys U-18 final, Asad Zaman played well against Ahtesham Arif and outpaced him by 6-3, 6-3. Asad started well against Ahtesham and dominated the first set in great style as he took the wet 6-3. The second set was identical to the first one, as Asad continued to do well and won it 6-3 to clinch the title. Asad, student of renowned coach Rashid Malik, thanked his coach and mentor for his guidance and excellent training that has transformed him into a professional player and title-winning national junior athlete. "I am grateful to very generous Tariq Zaman, who is continuously supporting and sponsoring me to help me make my dreams come true. Now I am keen to win international laurels for my country." In the boys U-16 doubles final, Mohammad Sohaan Noor/Waleed Javeed outlasted the pair of Asad Zaman and Aized Khalil 6-4 to win the title. The girls U-18 final was clinched by Hajra Suhail (SICAS), who beat Bismel Zia 6-2 to claim the title. In the boys U-16 final, Waleed Javeed beat Ameer Hamza 6-1 for the title. In the boys U-14 final, Abdullah Pirzada beat Mohammad Sohaan Noor 6-2. In the boys/girls U-12 final, Abdur Rehman (SICAS) beat Hajra Suhail 6-4. In the boys/girls U-10 final, Hajra Suhail beat Ayyan Shahbaz 6-0. Adil Khan Rokhri, CEO New Khan Transport graced the prize distribution ceremony as chief guest and he, along with PLTA Secretary Rashid Malik (Tamgha-e-Imtiaz), distributed the prizes among the winners and top performers. Other notables present on the occasion were Col (R) Asif Dar, players and their families and tennis enthusiasts.

Abubakar and Zohaib Afzal Malik win Doubles tennis title
SPORTS BULLETIN REPORT Islamabad:- Abubakar Talha pairing with Zohaib Afzal Malik outclassed Amir Mazari and Samer Zaman 2-0 with score-line of 6-1 and 6-4 to win the title of the MID COURT-Athletes Unraveled ATF Under-14 Championship at PTF Tennis complex here. In Boy's doubles final, Abubakar Talha pairing with Zohaib Afzal Malik outclassed Amir Mazari and Samer Zaman 2-0 with score-line of 6-1 and 6-4 to win the title. Ehsan ur Rehman Mazari Federal Minister for IPC graced the occasion as chief guest and Iftikhar Rashid acting President-PTF as guest of honor in the ceremony. Iftikhar Rashid acting President-PTF welcomed the honourable Minister and thanked him for gracing the occasion as chief guest. Iftikhar Rashid also briefed him about the achievements of the PTF for the last 8 years. Minister, while addressing the participants, appreciated the standard of tennis which was witnessed in the final. He also congratulated the winners and runners-up.

Ibrahim Hussain Gill defeats Ahsan Bari in Under-10 Quarterfinal
SPORTS BULLETIN REPORT LAHORE:-Ibrahim Hussain Gill defeated Ahsan Bari in Under-10 quarterfinal, as the semifinals and finals of the New Khan Punjab Junior Tennis Championship will be played on Saturday at the Punjab Tennis Academy, Bagh-e-Jinnah Lahore. In the boys Under-18 quarterfinals, Waleed Humayun beat Zaeem Ghafoor 7-6. In the boys U-16 quarterfinals, Waleed Humayun beat Abubakar Khalil 6-1, M Sohaan Noor beat Zain Saeed 6-3, Ismail Ahmad beat Eesa Bilal 6-1. In the boys U-16 doubles quarterfinal, Ameer Hamza/Abdur Rehman beat Aalay Husnain/Eesa Bilal 6-2. ATF Junior Tennis Tournament reaches at final stage
SPORTS BULLETIN REPORT Islamabad:-Amir Mohammad Khan Mazari and Abubakar Talha set to meet in the final of the ongoing MID COURT-Athletes Unraveled ATF Under-14 Tennis Championships after winning their semifinals here at PTF-SDA Tennis Complex on Wednesday. Tennis star, Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi also witnessed some of the matches and interacted with the players and their parents. Aisam lauded the efforts of Zaira Ahmad Zaka founder of Mid Court for her concerted efforts for the promotion of tennis. NK Punjab Junior Tennis: Asad, Hamza shine in Under-18 Singles
SPORTS BULLETIN REPORT Lahore:-Asad Zaman, Hamza Jawad, Zaeem Ghafoor and Ameer Hamza reached the Boys Under-18 second round in the New Khan Punjab Junior Tennis Championship 2022 here at Punjab Tennis Academy Bagh-e-Jinnah Mall Road Lahore on Tuesday. In the boys U-18 first round, Asad Zaman of Ali Embroidery Mills showed his class against Hassaan Ali and outclassed him by 6-0, Hamza Jawad played well against Ibrahim Zahoor and outpaced him 6-1, Zaeem Ghafoor had to struggle hard to beat Shamir Dilshad by 7-6 while Ameer Hamza did well against Zain Saeed to win the encounter by 6-3. In the boys/girls U-12 first round, Bismel Zia, who recently won her first junior national title during the Aitchison National Junior Tennis Championship, was in sublime form and overwhelmed her opponent M Ibrahim Gill 6-0. In other matches of the same category, Eesa Khan Malik beat Rania Shahrukh 6-3, Muaz Shahbaz beat Mohammad Ayyan Khan 6-1 and Abdur Rehman (SICAS) beat Mohammad Umar Ali 6-0. Aitchison College Junior Tennis: Triple crowns for Bilal and Abubakar
SPORTS BULLETIN REPORT Lahore: Bilal Asim and Abubakar Talha claimed three titles each in the Aitchison College Junior National Tennis Championship 2022 that concluded here at the Aitchison College Mall Road Lahore on Tuesday. In the Boys Under-18 final, Bilal Asim of SICAS beat Farman Shakeel 3-6,6-4,4-0(Rtd). Bilal doubled his titles when he, partnering with Ahtesham Humayun, beat Farman Shakeel/ Ali Talha 7-5, 6-0 in the boys U-18 doubles final. The rising star, Bilal, completed the hat-trick of titles when he outclassed Asad Zaman by 6-0, 6-2 in the boys U-16 final. Talking to media after claiming a hat-trick of titles, Bilal Asim dedicated the first-ever grass court title to his mentor and coach Rashid Malik (Tamgh-e-Imtiaz), saying, "It was all due to able guidance and coaching of my coach Rashid Malik, who trained me well and transformed into a true champion. I am working very hard now and after dominating national junior circuit, I am keen to do well at Asian Level and win glories for the country." Abubakar Talha of Wapda was another rising star, who grabbed three titles in the event. In the Boys’ Under-14 final, Abubakar Talha beat Omer Jawad 6-2, 6-4 to claim the first title. He doubled his titles when he, partnering with Zohaib Afzal Malik, defeated Ameer Mazari and Muzamil Khan 5-4, 5-3 in the Boys’ Under-14 doubles final. Abubakar, a shinning student of F.G Middle School Mazhar Lines Lahore Cantt, completed the hat-trick of titles by beating Omer Jawad 6-4, 4-6, 10-7 in the Boys Under-12 final. Zohaib Afzal Malik (LGS Phase V) also completed the brace of titles when he, partnering with Hamza Ali Rizwan (LGS Paragon), outpaced the pair of Omer Jawad and Ismail Aftab by 4-2, 4-1 in the boys U-12   doubles final. In the Girls Under-12 final, Bismel Zia clinched her maiden tennis title when she defeated spirited Hajra Suhail by 4-2, 4-5 and 4-0. Bismel thanked her coach Rashid Malik and his assistant Amjad Farooq for their superb tennis lessons that helped her emerge as title winner in the national junior event. In the Girls Under-18 final, Amna Ali Qayum of Islamabad beat Zahra Suleman 6-0, 6-2 to lift the title. In the boys/girls U-10 final, Rashid Ali Bachani beat Hajra Suhail 4-1, 4-0. In the  boys/girls U-8, Ahsan Bari bagged gold medal, Mamnoon Bari silver and Daniyal Andullah bronze medal. In the boys/girls U-6, Soha Abdullah won the gold medal, Mamnoon Bari silver and Saeed Shafi bronze medal. Principal Aitchison College Lahore Michael Thomson graced the concluding ceremony as chief and he, along with PLTA Secretary Rashid Malik, distributed prizes and shields among the winners in the presence of players, their families and tennis enthusiasts. Rashid Malik thanked Principal Aitchison College Lahore Michael Thomson for his consecutive support for the junior development and continuously sponsoring this championship, where promising tennis players take part from across the country and take part in competitive event for the national titles.
