ITF Pakistan Juniors Tennis: Imran Khaitbaev wins Leg-1 title
Sports Bulletin Report ISLAMABAD: Uzbekistan tennis lad, Imran Khaitbaev beat Amir Asylkozhaev of Russia 2-0 in the final of ITF Pakistan Juniors Tennis Championship Leg-1 here at PTF-SDA Tennis Complex on Saturday. Imran crushed his opponent Amir Asylkozhaev in a single sided final in straight set, as he conceded just 1 and 2 games in both sets respectively. The final score-line was 6-1 and 6-2. A large number of foreign players from Turkey, Russia, India, Georgia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Australia, Sri Lanka, Thailand, United States of America (USA), Nepal, Malaysia, Moldova and Japan participated in the leg-1 event. President, Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF), Senator Salim Saifullah Khan was the chief guest at the closing ceremony, which was also attended by Humayun Saifullah Khan Former Provincial Minister-KPK and a large number of tennis lovers. The President-PTF, while addressing the participants, thanked them for visiting Pakistan. The President-PTF also stated that the conduct of such events in Pakistan and the participation of foreign players would further promote the soft image of Pakistan besides providing an opportunity for Pakistani players to compete with quality players. He also showed satisfaction with the overall arrangements which are in place for the conduct of the event. He thanked the Islamabad Police for providing foolproof security coverage for this event, and the media for highlighting the event comprehensively. He interacted with the players, their parents and the coaches. Also, ITF Pakistan J7 World Juniors Tennis Championships leg-2 commenced today at PTF Tennis Complex Islamabad. ITF Juniors: Mohammad Zaryab and Azat claim Doubles title
Abdul Jabbar Faisal ISLAMABAD: Upcoming tennis lad, Mohammad Zaryab Khan pairing with Azat Sarsembaev from Kazakhstan annexed the Boys’ Doubles crown of the ITF Pakistan Juniors Tennis Championships Leg-1 after thrashing Ibrahim Furkan Deniz from Turkey and Imran Khaitbaev from Uzbekistan in straight sets here at PTF-SDA Tennis Complex on Friday. In Boys Doubles finals, Mohammad Zaryab Khan of Pakistan and his overseas partner Azat Sarsembaev of Kazakhstan overcame their challengers Ibrahim Furkan Deniz and Imran Khaitbaev with the score-line was 6-3 and 7-5 feisty battle. This was first ITF Juniors’ Title for both Azat and Zaryab. Zaryab's win, who trains at the NTC, will give a boost to his confidence, and inspire all the other local players. Earlier, in Girls Doubles final, Polina Kaibekova of Russian pairing with Deren Ozel from Turkey brushed aside Lia Belibova and Defne Yuksel in similar fashion 2-0 with the final score-line of 6-4 and 7-5to lift the title of ITF Pakistan Juniors Tennis Championship. ITF Juniors: Amir Asylkozhaev and Imran Khaitbaev set to meet in final
Sports Bulletin Report ISLAMABAD: Amir Asylkozhaev from Russia and Imran Khaitbaev from Uzbekistan set to meet in the final of the ongoing ITF Pakistan Juniors Tennis Championship after beating their respective opponents in the semifinals here at PTF-SDA Tennis Complex on Thursday. The final will be played on Saturday at the same venue. In the first semifinal, Amir Asylkozhaev ousted Azat Sarsembaev from Kazakhstan in straight sets with the score-line of 6-2 and 6-4 while in the second semifinal Khaitbaev outplayed Bugra Ozkoc from Turkey in similar style 2-0. The final score-line was 6-3 and 6-0. ITF Pakistan Juniors Tennis: 7 foreigners move in quarterfinals

Pakistan's Mohammad Talha Khan toppled 5th seed Aryan Giri from Nepal that caused a biggest upset of the first day in an exciting 3-set encounter. The final score-line was 4-6,6-4 and 6-3. ITF Pakistan Juniors Tennis Championship starts at PTF Complex
Sports Bulletin Report ISLAMABAD: ITF (International Tennis Federation) Pakistan Juniors Tennis Championship Leg-1 rolled into action here at PTF-SDA Tennis Complex with the qualifying round, as the main draw matches will be started from Monday. A total number of 12 qualifying matches were played on the first day, as the final round of the qualifying matches will be on Sunday while the main draw will commence on Monday at the same venue. Around 38 foreign boys and girls from Turkey, Russia, India, Georgia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Australia, Sri Lanka, Thailand, United States of America (USA), Nepal, Malaysia and Japan are participating in the first leg of the international juniors’ fixture. The President PTF, Salim Saifullah Khan and Former Provincial Minister-KPK Humayun Saifullah Khan visited PTF Complex and interacted with the players, coaches and parents and, conveyed their best wishes to all the participants. The President PTF also met and encouraged the two youngest Pakistani participants, Amir Mohammad Khan Mazari and Nabeel Ali Qayum, and motivated them to keep toiling hard, as they had a bright future ahead of them. PTA signs MoU with LBTC New York for the promotion of Tennis
Sports Bulletin Report LAHORE: The Punjab Tennis Academy (PTA) has signed the MoU with Long Beach Tennis Centre (LBTC) New York to work jointly for the promotion of tennis and its players in Pakistan. The MoU was signed between PLTA Secretary Rashid Malik (Tamgh-e-Imtiaz) and Faheem Siddiqui, brother of Long Beach Tennis Centre New York CEO Sid Siddiqui on his behalf during a simple but impressive ceremony held here at the Punjab Tennis Academy, Bagh-e-Jinnah Lahore.  Speaking on the occasion, Rashid Malik said: "The Junior Initiative Program was in progress here at the PLTA, which was halted by COVID but now, the PLTA is going to restart the initiative in collaboration with Long Beach Tennis Centre New York and this will help the association restart the junior initiative program once again. This will go a long way and help our kids excel at provincial, national and international level. "This program includes the categories from Under-10 to Under-16 while the players will be selected on the basis of their last five PLTA-organized tennis tournaments. This time, the categories of Under-6 and Under-8 will be given special importance in order to prepare future tennis stars for the country. “The selected players will be provided with free coaching, tennis balls, stringing and other facilities that will help them in domestic tournaments. This is a whole year program which will benefit the local players to a larger extent. Besides this, the top players of the program will also be awarded tennis scholarships and will be sent abroad to get training there and play against the best in the business there,” Malik concluded.  The Junior Initiative Program will commence in the beginning of December this year. PNC Sports New York CEO Saleem Chaudhry and LBTC New York CEO Sid Siddique will grace the grand opening ceremony as chief guests and made some big announcements for Pakistan tennis and its players.

Pakistan Open Tennis Championship to start from November 19
Sports Bulletin Report Islamabad: Sheheryar Malik Memorial (SMM) Pakistan Open Tennis Championship 2022 will commence from November 19, 2022 at Sports Board Punjab Tennis Academy Nishtar Park Lahore.   According to Tournament Director, Rasheed Malik, in the 8-day tennis fixture the top national players from all over the Pakistan will take part to fight for the top honour. The competitions will be held in different categories including Men’s Singles, Men’s Doubles, Ladies Singles, Ladies Double, Senior 35+ Singles, Senior 45+ Singles, Senior 45+ Doubles, Senior 55+ Singles, Senior 65+ Doubles, Boys’ Under-18 Singles, Boys’ Under-18 Doubles, Girls’ Under-18 Singles, Boys’ Under-16 Singles, Boys’ Under-14 Singles, Boys’ Under-14 Doubles, Girls’ Under-14, Boys’ Under-12 Singles, Boys’ Under-12 Doubles, Girls’ Under-12 Singles, Boys/Girls Under-10, Boys/Girls Under-8 and Boys/Girls Under-6.
Bilal Asim wins second title in a row of ATF Under-16
Sports Bulletin Report LAHORE: Upcoming tennis guy, Bilal Asim claimed second back-to-back Asian Under-16 Tennis title after defeating Asad Zaman in the Ali Embroidery Mills Pvt Ltd ATF Under-16 Asian Tennis Tour 2022 Leg-2 final here at the Sports Board Punjab Tennis Academy, Nishtar Park Sports Complex on Thursday. In the boys U-16 final, Bilal Asim, brilliant student of coach Rashid Malik, outclassed Asad Zaman, another student of coach Rashid Malik, with a score of 6-0, 6-1. Bilal dominated the title clash right from the word go as he never allowed his opponent to play freely and maintained his supremacy till the last point to win the final by 6-0, 6-1, thus claiming the second successive Asian U-16 title. Bilal Asim completed the brace of Asian U-16 titles, when he, partnering with Ahtesham Humayun (Crescent School), played well against Hamid Israr/Hamza Roman and edged out the spirited pair by 7-5, 7-6 to win the boys U-16 doubles final. In the position matches, Sheheryar Anees outlasted Amir Mazari 6-4, 6-0, M Salaar outclassed Taimoor Khan 6-1, 6-1, Nabeel Qayum toppled Aized Khalil 6-2, 6-1, Hamid Israr thumped Kashan Tariq 6-2, 6-1. Meanwhile, Nabeel Qayum of Islamabad thrashed Abdur Rehman 6-0 to win the boys/girls U-14 title in the Ali Embroidery Mills Pvt Ltd Punjab Junior Tennis Championship 2022. Nabeel displayed high quality tennis skill and techniques and didn’t allow his opponent Abdur Rehman to score a single point to win the boys/girls U-14 final by 6-0. Nabeel also completed the brace of titles when he, partnering with Abdur Rehman (SICAS) hammered the pair of Bismel Zia/Hajra Suhail by 6-1 in the boys/girls U-14 doubles final. In the boys/girls U-12 final, Abdur Rehman (AAA Associates) beat Hajra 6-1. In the boys/girls U-10 final, Hajra Suhail (AAA Associates) beat Mustafa Uzair Rana 6-2. In the boys/girls U-8 final, Ayan Shahbaz grabbed the gold medal, Ehsan Bari silver and Daniyal Afzal bronze medal. In the boys/girls U-6 final, Mamnoon Bari bagged the gold medal, Shahreen Omer silver, Hafsa Sohail bronze medal.
